Yeh I agree, it's from the point of view of Sixth Form students, the others are at uni, and thus the life cycle goes on. Sadness lol.

I take it your youth was/is nothing like their's and as such you cannot relate?

Even though I was a teen in a different country, I could relate to shedloads of the show, and loved it as a result

I think a clean slate is needed if they want to keep the series going. The whole idea behind the series is focusing on teenagers around 17. If they tried to continue with the old cast I don't think the dynamic would be there anymore with stories having to move onto work/uni/unemployment etc, assuming they tried to keep it realistic. Focusing on a new set of people lets them regurgitate similar themes from the first series. I guess some people will be put off by the lack of freshness, but it also likely to attract people who were 2/3 years too young when it first aired. I hope it is as good as the first and they create a new 'Chris' character, but would be very surprised if it is.

tv isnt so great my wife was a makeup artist for some time so i went to a few shoots with her and it was boring :|

actors can be sat weighting for hours etc on the not so well organised shoots and most of the time people who arent required are just stood at the buffet chatting

Agreed with that completely.

I thought the first series was great, second was a naff attempt at copying it but it got too serious and not fun enough.

Not holding out much hope for this one
