COD: WaW Kar 98k qs.

I am really considering buying WaW because I want to use my beloved Kar98k again So I have two simple questions:
Does it still have the simple ironsight without the ring like in COD1?
Does it still pack the same punch? (both in sound and power)

First question No.

Second question, undoubtedly NO! The sounds are terrible, and 9/10 you have to shoot people twice with a rifle.
Its not the same gun as COD2, its a real shame

Sounds are terrible throughout the game, Kar sounds like a .22 air rifle.

Still live mate - so needs a ticket Kinda complicated unless you plan on using it at a full-bore range...

Might be a de-act one kicking around, they're nice to own. I'll get around to getting a nice Lee Enfield SMLE one day.....

Oh, and Kar98K is rubbish in COD:WAW, as is the Springfield and Arikasa. Mosin works OK when added to stopping power perk, 1 shot kill against anyone who doesnt have Juggernaut perk.

Kinda spoils the whole point of the game really then - it just makes for spray'n pray hip shots with PPsh41's ruling the roost.

Play normal servers, rank up, get the M1A1 carbine - its' awesome in game, ridiculously overpowered compared to an actual one, it fires a bullet barely more powerful than a pistol round yet 2 shots usually kills with it - love it!

Yes, the Kar is the same as I remember it from COD1 and UO. I am also a rifle person and only stick to the springfield. Sounds are just as good as always.

Naaah, no need really - my dad has a No.4 imported from an indian stock, the key ingredient being it still has firing pin and action

Just waiting to organise a trip to Catterick when its warmer - to get a bruised shoulder.... heh!

CoD2 is still the best of the lot, tempted to go back to that online if it wasn't for all the dodgy servers

Rifles aren't really useable that effectively, even with stopping power it frequently takes pistol shots too :/
