Rumoured! In response to Intel quad core price cuts, AMD cuts Phenom II prices.

As of tomorrow they will cost:
Phenom II X4 940 - 225$
Phenom II X4 920 - 195$
(in tray of 1000 CPUs).

Edit: AMD pricing does not reflect this so we will see if in fact the prices do come down tomorrow.

Yeah, according to that price list the phenom 9950 is at $174 so that in pounds is roughly £120 converted over at www.xe.com which is very good if not great news for people like me wanting to build a new rig over the coming weeks

Remember, we have a dollar rate of 1.39 to 1 today.

Tray of 1000 CPU's means that is OEM. We stock retail.

The 940 OEM is £160 according to the official price stated in the OP - we are selling retail at £167.99.

The 920 OEM is £140 according to the official price stating in the OP - we are selling the retail at £145.99.

I think OcUK pricing is very good.

OcUK are gd with their pricing.... its just you have to pay delivery and atm £10 is a fair old saving

but at $1.39 to the £ that makes it £161.87 does it not ?

Two key points.
1. We are stocking the Retail not OEM, which costs more.
2. OcUK is a business. We do not sell at cost. If we did OcUK would not be around long.

I think OcUKs price for the 940 is good, providing it's a permanent price and not TWO. Yes it can be found cheaper, but not much.

The problem for someone like me (who's not reached the magical 100 post count yet) is the shipping cost, which then throws the price way out there.

+1 to my post count, getting closer to increasing my OcUK orders
