thats a special goal that is lol, watched him a few times, seems like an absolute talent of a player, its the same area as rooney that mind and gift with a ball like we haven't seen since gazza, shame rooneys lost the twinkle the past few years :( he has his spurts but i haven't seen something like his goal against Newcastle in a long time :(

how the mighty have fallen

Wigan and Bolton are chasing Manchester City and England defender Micah Richards for £5m. (The Sun)

only 18 months ago was one of the hottest prospects possibly going to Man Utd or Chelsea for 20mil

He has made mistakes, but then he's dropped off in exactly the same way Dunne has. I think more than anything its the woeful midfield protection coupled with a left and right back who are so bad they've got no protection at all.

Ferdy's not looked anywhere near as good this season as last, and a large part of that is worse form of the people doing defensive duties around him. Brown was far better than Rafael defensively, Anderson was much better last year and won a lot of the ball in the middle as did others. You can only look great, when everyone around you is playing well aswell. Zabeleta has been that damn bad that Richards has no chance to look good.

The question is, with a decent right back in, or pushed out to right back himself will he look much better, the answer is probably yes. He also had his great games int he past two years, against Utd last season he was man of the match and immense. But a lot of the time he got praise even when not very good, which is generally what happens everytime the public start to wet themselves over a possible England prospect for the future. He was good, but he never got the level people thought he did in the first place, so hasn't fallen as far as people think either.

regardless of wether he would come on not, and regardless of his form

Richards to Newcastle would be good for us, cover in both CB and RB positions and if he gets his form back would be a great improvement

Fee agreed with Hull for Jimmy Bullard, £5m. If he goes, he'll be hated by most of Fulham, like Malbranque. Absolutely fuming.

I assume because they left the club, hardly a reason to hate a player. Yes Bullard got a lot of money while injured, but he's played his heart out for Fulham, fully deserves a new contract and has the club constantly telling him he's not worth one. He WAS the difference last year between them going up and staying down, thats worth 20-30mil a year to the club, and they can't give him an improved contract to make him stay?

He's not Rooney, he hasn't made 100k a week for his whole career with another 15 years left. He's on relatively small money for such a good player and has had a career threatening injury, looking to secure a good contract at this stage of his career is pretty important tbh and looking for a club that isn't questioning if he's worth it is also probably not a bad thing.

Not to mention you got him for a RIDICULOUSLY good price, 2.5mil, Coleman's best piece of business by far, got it all sorted before everyone else even started looking for players, genius.

Hell, if Hodgeson just gave him a contract then even if he did leave, a much larger contract you'd get even more for him.

The thing is, he'd make an excellent cover/rotation player at a top 4 club tbh. At 5 million the experience, versatility and pure passion he brings is a steal for any club. Villa I think should be going for him as they are desparately short of creative midfield options, and can play right wing very well. I'd have him at Arsenal without doubt but Wenger would never buy him.

F365 are talking about £28m for some unknown reason

I reckon we split the difference and reluctantly accept 19 :D

Euros? BBC are saying Hicks is in talks about selling his 50% share to a family with an estimate fortune of £9billion. I like Hicks, but he's out of his depth in terms of the money that is needed to be injected in to new players and the stadium, and that includes Gillett.
