Guy has his car stolen and has to pay £100 to get it back!!

Someone stole an evo and demanded 100quid for it's return ? Even for a thief, that's retarded, does he have some mental disability or something ?

That aside I'm having trouble understanding what actually happened except that he bought his car back .

Havent read the story but from what you're saying there seem to be large traces of BS

Pay the £100, in cash...

Just don't pay it in person call the police who'd love to use a sting like this to bag the gits.

Absolutely.

I speak from experience, if the "5 - 0" can bag somebody in the act, they will.

****** think they are above the law, every so often, the law reminds them they are not.

Wow, glad I don't live in those scummy areas.

Scummy types go looking for victims in nice areas also.

Don't think i would have bought it back but it's true about some families. You mess with one and you mess with 6 families. They know where you stay, they can get to you easily enough.

There usually is a bigger fish who comes along one day and shoots the ****.

Police wont touch ****** for small stuff like this its just not worth it for them hence why they get away with so much.

Not in my (admittedly limited) experience.

It's always been the case in my experience that the Police will do little or nothing when it comes to pykies. Case in point, I lived in Wentworth (Virginia Water) for a while where there are a couple of permanent gypo sites nearby. About 4pm one Saturday afternoon I nip home to catch an F1 programme on ITV, and leave the front on my radio as I was only going to be in for an hour or so. As I'm watching the programme my car alarm goes off, so I nip down and find a pykie with my stereo in hand getting into a car. I recognise the car, get the plate and call the Police. I tell the Police that I was threatened and attacked before the theft (I've been told to do this before so they take it a bit more seriously) and they take all the details, where he lives etc.

Despite all the evidence I get a letter a few weeks later saying the case has been dropped.

This always seems to happen, the Police are scared of pykies.

Can you explain to me why your story, or provide any evidence what so ever, to show that police are scared of ******.

It doesn't sound like the 5 0 dropped it out of fear, it sounds to me like there was no evidence other than your statement and that perusing it, albeit it fearlessly, would result in a loss in court and prove to be completely pointless.

Why does he need to do that?

Are you a real doctor by the way, because if you diagnose people with the same lack of attention that you paid to writing that post, then your patients are in real trouble.

Gypo's can be a total pain, no question of that but I do know of a couple of instances where they have lost when they picked on the wrong persons land. There are a few farmers out there that will happily deal with Gypo's and a few land owners who have 'connections' that make Gypo's look like the Red Cross. I know of 2 excellent cases which involved in one case a special forces ventran and the other a load of diggers where the Gypo's left with their tail between their legs with a clear instruction that if they were seen in the area again they would regret it. Old school methods seem to work best but you need to have the 'talent' to deploy them I suggest. ;)

Having said that to us mere mortals they are a total pain and best left alone as you will loose in the long run.

when i was working in the garage a few years ago, we had ****** come and raid the shop. we called the police, and they TOLD US they wouldnt go near the ******.

Very true,

I have an acquaintance that has a yard full of machines that can make gyppos disappear within about fifteen seconds.

ROFL I am a real pretend Dr, however I seemed to have put misplaced the words "scared of" in that sentence of mine you have quoted, it should read

"Can you explain to me why your story, or provide any evidence what so ever, to show that police are scared of ******."

I hope my patients check there prescriptions and dosage levels with the chemists!

Some people on those forums are talking like this is a pretty regular and normal thing to happen!?

It's not, normally if your car is stolen and the thief is identified the fee is £115 recovery and £12 per day storage, so it's nice to see the gyppos are cheaper than the police when it comes to handling your stolen car for you.

The ****** landed in the Brighouse/Halifax area just after I finished working for a dealer there. The details I got were understandably vague but a local group 'convinced' them to move on and that you couldn't live in burned out caravans. They'd had issues before and from what I heard, the local businesses made a contribution to a local 'fund' for gentlemen who were generally involved in less than standard forms of employment. Once the ****** become entrenched in an area, it's game over, as per the post on the Evo. The best way of doing things - don't be a keyboard warrior, don't get involved yourself and don't ask questions. Leave it to those who really don't care.

Because I've seen it every single time someone has gone to the police, I grew in an area where there are a lot of travellers so have seen it many times and I also know a few policemen/women who would admit they are scared of gypos, you mess with them and they can mess with you and your family 10 times as badly. My example was just a typical instance of a case with strong evidence having nothing done about it.

Your example contained strong evidence? From the sounds of it it contained your eye witness account and not much more.
