Do you carry/keep cash?

I take cash when I go out, people who insist on paying by card in bars are a complete pest - takes twice as long for the bar staff to process the transaction and just wastes time for everyone else waiting.

Im only 16 but still pay for most things with plastic rather than cash. Its funny though how much the value of money changes. at school it can mean a lot if you lose £1 as it could mean you don't eat. but if your out shopping say then i'm alright without that extra pound :p

I always carry cash with me when i go to buy something. I often get paid cash so need to use it up or it just builds up until i cba going to the bank.

£20-50 for the odd things and drinkes after work.

Otherwise on a debit card. Although going to go for a cashback Credit card soon and start transferring all spening onto that, well anywahere that takes AMEX.

sometimes, as much as £100, but that's rare. And when i do, half of that is gone within 24 hours because i don't like to keep wads of cash in my wallet if i don't plan of spending it.

If I have £200 cash on me and only use that to spend during the week , when I have only £10 of that left , I know I've spent £190. When using a card I wouldn't add up/try to remember each transaction I make , and therefore won't know how much I've spent during that week (unless I've bought something expensive) - I never use my debit card to buy anything , so will usually only find out at the end of the month

If that makes sense :p

yep, same here :)

None ever apart from for takeaways, i just spend it. And yes i can keep a track of what i spend on card, its very easy and i hardly spend anything through the week.

In Moscow I normally have quite a bit on me as I still find cash far easier than cards here (and so do most Russians). In London normally a couple of hundred pounds as I find it a much easier way to manage my spending.

In person, I pay for everything with cash. Cards only used online, and kept indoors. I dislike the delay cards cause, and the risk they pose should one's wallet be lost or stolen.

I use my card for everything. It's easier to manage my finances when I see every transaction online. The only time I've had a need for cash is a night out or places that have minimum spend of £5 on a card.

usually carry cash for minor purchases, lunch, parking, and prefer paying cash on nights out

other than that, its on the card
