I can see why they did it, the original implementation was just as flawed imo. Getting a Tank in a "bad" place in the round can be just as bad as the current system - prior to the patch there were a number of games where one team would get a Tank when the Survivors were in enclosed corridors and the other one would get it when they were in a wide open, easily defended space. As now the result was that the team in the enclosed space was wiped and the one in the open survived. Again, this is hardly fair.Ah, shame that
Get him to buy a new one then
Or get a back up so it kicks in when his other one dies
EDIT:
Personally, in response to Durzel's post, I think the way they have made the Tank and witch spawn in the EXACT same spots for both games is a bit silly......If they just added the 'fix' that makes the tank / witch spawn for both teams, then it would be perfect.
Knowing where the Tank is going to be is a bit of a let down really....takes the 'fun' out of it when your a survivor.
Unfortunately whilst getting Tank in the same place technically makes it more about the individual skill of the person controlling it, giving one team foresight of where it's going to be is too debilitating. Since you can't keep control anymore by punching physics objects around if you end up facing off against a team who knows where you're going to be and just camps you're pretty much buggered.
I suppose the question is how can you make it fair without arbitrarily handicapping the better team? One idea I saw mentioned was making it so the winning team has to go survivor first the next round, another idea - maybe too savage - would be despawning the upgrade guns or extra medkits for a team that's massively in front in points.
That said I'm not entirely sure the whole points system is something that any fix should be based off of - you can play a game where you make 4 Survivors use their medkits and your team reaches the safehouse still carrying theirs and the points difference will be tiny (at least on the early round) even though technically you did a much better job as infected. The whole points multilpier thing doesn't make sense either - it just seems so arbitrary.
Sounds like I'm whining really
