Bloody hell its hot!

I got back from Oz just over a week ago. High 30's in Sydney was quite tolerable as there was usually a breeze blowing. We drove to Port Stephens one day and stopped at a freeway service station. I've never experienced heat like it. It was like a sauna and the wind was roasting. :D Port Stephens was nice and hot too but nothing like that and a dip in the pool was awesome! Glad to be back to this baltic weather. Not! Feels like I've never been away.

And you're moving to Adelaide... I can think of wetter places in Aus. ;)

I'd prefer Melbourne's climate, but you can't always get what you want.

Most of my friends and family are in Adelaide, so it made sense.

:)

Mt Gambier has a great Climate.(The South East of SA)

Low 20s? Brrr. I was in Adelaide at the end of November last year and it was only mid 20s, and while normally ok I had just come straight from the Daintree where it had been 34-36 and humidity was 85%+. While I was there the climate in the Whitsundays and Cairns was my idea of perfect.

Thanks for posthing that ZIP, i'll happily swap weather with you.

A few days ago met check screwed up and reported that we would have 300mph winds for four days ! Wooot.

South-east heatwave hottest in 70 years

Australia's south-east is still enduring a massive heatwave, with Adelaide reaching 45.5 degrees Celsius early this afternoon.

The Bureau of Meteorology says some country towns are even hotter, with 46.2C recorded at Ceduna on the Eyre Peninsula.

Forecaster Simon Timkey says this is the closest Adelaide has come to its hottest ever day.

"That is the hottest day we've recorded here in over 70 years and in fact the third hottest on record in Adelaide," he said.

"The only two times that it's been hotter were both back in 1939, 46.1C on the 12th of January and 45.9C on the 10th of January."

The bureau is forecasting a total of six days of 40 degree-plus heat, which would equal the city's hottest ever heatwave set in January 1908.

I've only spent 3 weeks in WA (perth + southwest) but thought that the weather was awesome. I mean, 41 is hot, but it's fairly dry heat, and a lot more pleasant than Sydney at 30. 'Course that's only 3 weeks and I've only actually lived in Hobart or London so I don't know anything about hot weather :P

Problem with Oz apart from it being too hot is that it's too far away from anywhere else on the globe.

No I'm not jealous.... well wouldn't mind some heat but not 45!phew!

41? Pfft thats a good temp. Last year I was hitting high 50's ;) Just enjoy and be thankful you're not in dull UK

My ideal temp is anything where girls will be wearing bikini's as part of their standard dress. I'd guess in england 20+? :D

I'm also guessing this is why so many people love Australia? :)
