Humans study other species and try and preserve certain animals for becoming extinct, there really isn't any reason why a benevolent and highly advanced race of aliens wouldn't do the same sort of thing.

Why wouldn't they? We're not even vaguely a threat to them, can't even reliably get off our own planet ffs. If they can master interstellar travel, I'd assume that they have some stupidly advanced weapons too, and could probably wipe our planet out in seconds should we chose to be a pain in the ass at any point in the future.

But yeah, enough of this, I'm beginning to sound like I believe in Lizard Overlords.

Well, I don't know, but if they've got interstellar travel, would they not also have several planets, and therefore more population than us?

Could probably have one of us per each family or something, cut it up and whack it in their freezer for special occasions?

I quite enjoy hearing fringe theories and it certainly adds occasional flavour to GD - I listened to Art Bell for years and most of them passed over his desk (and more recently the utterly moronic George Noorie's). however, I've yet to year one such theory backed up with plausible information to the degree one would expect for something to be validated.

I think it is unlikely that there is much "truth" in your truth movement but I don't doubt it is well intentioned and probably keeps life interesting for you and millions of other mall-contents lacking meaning in their lives. Go at it, you never know you might be the ONE to stumble upon the truth, like Mel Gibson in that terrible film.

As far as i'm aware there have been very few if any newspaper reports about this story nor have the people involved made any money. In fact Robert Salas has far more to lose than gain by going public.
