Killzone 2 - Enter The Killzone

On everbodys fav online game site (well those in the know lol) Killzon2 has gone from £32.99 to 29.99, the £32.99 is now a steel box version. Not sure if you ordered it at 33 you will get the steel book one but im cancelling again to get the normal one at £30.

For anybody who has had a steelbook version before, is the case any bigger than a standard case? I have a blu-ray disk rack and want it to fit in the rack, if its bigger ill have to change my preorder to the standard one too.

Very slightly. I've got the Crysis steelbook and it fits in my DVD rack fine.

I bet 40% of the people on the list in this thread will not have this game on release day.

I bet within 14 days 50% of the people in this thread will find something negative to say about the game, that is probably mentioned already in reviews, but got ignored due to the hype.

I bet that 75% of people that hated me before this thread will hate me more after reading it.

I bet that within 7 days I have a new signature to replace the ageing Heroes one.

I bet that by the time i reach 76000+ posts i will be at least due the pension.

I bet that 90% of people dont give a monkeys what you or any of us really think and 14 days from now wont care to remember

I bet that one day you will realise their are better things to do with your life than waste so much of it on here

Meh, it's the quirks that make people interesting ;)

On topic: A heap load of reviews have been added to metacritic, it's average score now stands at 95 which is a good start to say the least

Are some of the reviews avoiding comparisions to GOW on purpose?
Havent read much about the audio and of course very few reviewers are probably using 7.1 but i wish more reviews properly tested a game out on a full AV rig and treated epic games like this regards reviews in a similar way to the latest movie blockbusters.

GOW1 (havnt played the 2nd at all) was still one of the most entertaining games (visual/audio/fun) i witnessed on the X360. It may not of been the best game ok fair enough but from an entertainment/cinematic and next gen experience it certainly was. Now question is does KZ2 surpass it?

I couldnt really care for the online but i am looking forward to cranking up the audio and enjoy this one to the max with its great visuals and 7.1 audio.

Cant wait was one of my fav ps2 games :), does anyone from the beta know if there is private chat online in this?

If you mean chatting to one of your friends using the XMB and whether or not this game supports it, I don't know and would probably be inclined to say no.

But, I wonder if they will implement a system to get around this, again I doubt it.

yea probably because they are different genres... while they are both technically 'shooters', the perspective is enough for many to consider them as different genres

Preordered from a highstreet retailer for 34.99 and got this t-shirt.

I've still got my LBP T-shirt that I got free with the game. I have worn it once, under a fancy shirt. If only the people I was with knew what was underneath!! :D:D:D
