***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

BC came along again still quite hard people moaned about how hard it was. Blizz again listened to the majority and nerfed some content. People then moaned about how hard it still was... thus blizz listened again and nerfed it. Then people started moaning it was to easy and thus they made it a bit harder. Sunwell came out and was stupidly hard. People moaned that it was too hard and thus blizz nerfed it again.

Thought Sunwell only got nerfed when WOTLK was about 1-2 months away, it was still brutal for a good while, good reason to nerf it imo throw people a bone as it would soon become level 80 raids zerging through it.

Took me and a friend about an hour n half to do 68>70 when we got to Northrend, it'll fly until your XP needed will turn into a huge monstrous number for 71 :p

noticed myself when i jumped to Northrend Xp needed to lvl went to 1.5million lol However going there at lvl70 I noticed you get far more XP for kills so quickly got to 71 before I knew it.

For some unknown reason, i decided to spec from feral to balance for the last couple of dings to 80 and my god its the most frustrating thing ever.

NEVER level as balance :/

Yeah It's possible.
I went from 58 - 71 on my First Death Knight in about 2 days.
Outlands isn't that hard.

Oh and a tip, do all the quests in all the zones :) more cash > easy exp > get a head start in Northrend.

Really lol?

Well im going to tan all night tonight from 4:15 - 01:00am and then tomorrow.

Im in the area west of Hellfire that looks similar to Ashenvale.

Im using this build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jfVZG0exZfMhuxckx0q0f0h

Built all the Unholy, Blood and currently sticking the rest of the leveling points into Frost.

I have my minion and the glyphs recommended on WoWwiki.

So..... is this good or could i be using a better build.

This is the right up of my build:

3.0.8 Icy Plague - DW DPS (10/18/43) - This is a modification of the spec below, which is awesome, but the new patch changed some things. This is TESTED. It's my current build, and I am in the top 3 DPS of almost every single raid. Our biggest nuke is going to be Icy Touch, so use the new Sigil of the Frozen Conscience, from Venture Bay. I added Virulence for more spell hit rating, and went a bit further down in unholy for Ebon Plaguebringer to increase the damage of Icy Touch (plus it's a nice raid buff). Since Night of the Dead now buffs your pets, they stay alive longer to DPS more. You can use Reaper of Dark Souls with Rune of the Fallen Crusader in MH and Fang of Truth with Rune of Razorice in OH (again, increasing the damage of Icy Touch). Also, don't let the defense fool you! The Red Sword of Courage is a great upgrade for the OH weapon. Same rotation (IT -> PS -> BS -> BS -> IT -> DC -> PS). For AOE pulls: (IT -> PS -> DnD -> ERW -> Pest -> BB) by this time everything should be dead. Priority is: 1. Keeping diseases up, 2. Summon Army and Gargoyle (Best when at full Runic Power), 3. Keep Horn of Winter up, 4. Death and Decay -> Empower Rune Weapon when it is off cooldown for extra dps, 5. Rune Strike if you notice it's up, 6. Heal with Death Pact and then quickly Raise Dead if it looks like you're gonna die (which should be off cooldown thanks to Night of the Dead). Always stay in Blood Presence. Major Glyphs: Glyph of Icy Touch Glyph of Plague Strike Glyph of the Ghoul Minor Glyphs: Glyph of Raise Dead Glyph of Pestilence Glyph of Death's Embrace. Note: You might also try this variation, if you have a lot of Shamans in your guild. They aren't as popular on the Horde side, so I can't count on always having one, especially in 5 and 10-man instances.

Ive made a macro using the rotation as suggested.

Hellfire is a fairly good place to level, my advice would be to do every quest you can in every zone before you give North a thought.

Build is fine, I leveled as Blood because of the health regeneration ( if you use it right you can solo most group quests )

Have you leveled to 70 before ?
I would advise using Questhelper, however this has being causing crashes with the game (seems as soon as it works, blizzard change something which makes it crash) so be sure to have wowhead.com open.

That build is bad, Dual Wield is generally bad outside of raiding. (for raid DPS, not tanking it's bad for that too) I hate Dual Wield when doing dailys but it's pretty much the best raid DPS spec at the moment. (0/32/39 or so)

Go deep Unholy, the mount speed makes it better and you have near the same self-healing as you do with Blood spec, I tried both when leveling and Blood was a little bit better for solo'ing elites at the end of the day you can do it with Unholy fine still and 20% extra mount speed > Blood. Don't forget that Unholy also has some extra AoE power, I was pulling packs of 6+ in Hellfire and coming out with near full HP everytime.

You kill mobs at practically the same rate too.

I used this spec from Jame's DK leveling guide; http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jZZfM0IbfkGcq0csuu

Level 61: Rage of Rivendare 4/5
Level 62: Rage of Rivendare 5/5
Level 63: Impurity 4/5
Level 64: Impurity 5/5
Level 65: Butchery 1/2
Level 66: Butchery 2/2
Level 67: Subversion 1/3
Level 68: Subversion 2/3
Level 69: Subversion 3/3
Level 70: Two-Handed Weapon Specialization 1/2
Level 71: Two-Handed Weapon Specialization 2/2
Level 72: Bladed Armor 1/5
Level 73: Bladed Armor 2/5
Level 74: Bladed Armor 3/5
Level 75: Dark Conviction 1/5
Level 76: Dark Conviction 2/5
Level 77: Dark Conviction 3/5
Level 78: Dark Conviction 4/5
Level 79: Dark Conviction 5/5
Level 80: Bladed Armor 4/5

(I didn't keep the spec at 80 though :p)

Be sure to use 2 Blood Strikes during fights so you get Death Runes, then you can do a bunch of Scourge Strikes and rip through mobs, just make sure you use Blood Strike on say Mob A, then when you move to Mob B you can get diseases up and do an extra Scourge Strike, then repeat this process. Mob B will die quicker every time.

I'd advise everyone to go Blood leveling because of the solo'ing elite quests and harder quests on your own.

Never have understood why 20% mount speed is so good.

I did loads of elite quests in Outlands as Unholy fine, no issues at all. Death Strike heals for more as Unholy anyway.

Mount speed is good because you spend a LOT of time mounted, thus reducing the time it takes for you to get to places.

Another point is that Unholy is mostly magic damage (including SS) so you don't have to worry about certain mobs having high armor compared to others.

im using a two handed weapon on that build above and its sheer brilliance!

However i was using this build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jfVMVZZfMhhhckgcsMcsut

What you think?

I have never had a char this high. Highest i have is a 57 warrior and another 62 DK.

Just dont really know whats best. I love my minion because hes like a tank for me and i can take on 10 65's at once and dont die.
