Starcraft II Release Date?

anyone got any real numbers for the release date, fair few places online have the game on pre-order, with release date 13/2/09 :eek:

please someone tell me this is true! man i wish we had a concrete release date for this, been waiting for starcraft II for many years!

No-one really knows where SC2 is at the moment, could be tommorrow or 5 years time :/

It is most likely going to be released late this year, then again you never know it could be released sooner.

If someone knew the release date, then it would have been annouced on the blizzard site. Go to the blizzard site, see any news posts about SC2 release? no? Then no release date has been set.

The beta will be announced sometime in February i imagine.

Blizzard, like Valve is 1 of a few companies that spend a lot of time polishing up their games before release so i would expect a release a few months after the beta.

SCII will need a good beta to sort out the balancing.

I think its a realistic date tbh, its just under 8 months away and if the beta is expected next month then i would see it been possible to have it ready for 25/09/09 but it might just be wishful thinking on my behalf, would be nice though yeah?

man im a big fan of blizzard and there insane amounts of polishing and balancing, probably why starcraft ran like a dream on well...anything but its been like two years this may since they announced starcraft II was in the works, and that it had been in the works for quite sometime, no offence to blizzard but how much time do they need to polish and balance?

To be fair Blizzard games are worth the wait, but waiting another year at least for Diablo makes me sad ^^
