I'm about to move home and I'm leaving my monitor and TV behind, so I'm looking to get something to play games and watch avis & DVDs on. I'll be renting a room where I'm moving to so in terms of viewing angle and picture size it just needs to be suitable for bedroom use.
I like bright screens and I also really like high contrast ratios.
At the moment I'm running games in 1600x1200 and on my 19" text is often a bit too small for my liking in games and such (I have crappy eyesight and am prone to eyestrain), so my one concern is that 1920x1080 will make things a bit squinty on a 21.5" screen. In that case I'd consider a monitor with a lower resolution or good scaling because as I say my eyesight isn't really good enough to really tell the difference at these sorts of resolutions and also I'm on a tight budget.
I appreciate your advice,
thanks!
