the snow and travel tomorrow

Hey guys,

Whats your thoughts on train travel tomorrow morning from london? My gf is leaving around 8 and we are curious as to whether the entire network will be obliterated by some frozen water. She is only going to Stevenage but I guess if a tracks out its out no matter how short the distance.

I reckon it's almost certain there'l be major disruptions to the rail services tomorrow.

Best bet is to check the national rail page though as suggested.

I'm expecting a nightmare getting to work tomorrow.

I bet my morning train will be canceled. Normally I would welcome a day off but i have a package being delivered to work tomorrow and I would want to get to work to pick it up.

Yep, trains will be cancelled or delayed. The roads will be gridlocked, schools shut and all sorts. But you can bet your butt your boss will still make it in to work... and before you.

I'm already planning to go outside at 5am, shovel all the snow on to my car and MMS my boss, citing I need to work from home as the snow fall was freakishly intense just in the area above my car. Hopefully if the "truth" doesn't win him over, the comedy will.

Normally I couldn't give a **** if the country is gridlocked with snow, but I'm getting the train from Carlisle to London on Tuesday to go to my girlfriends and it'd best be ****ing running!

I'm debating whether to even bother getting up, to amble down to the station (trying not to fall over) to find out the trains aren't running and then ruin a possible luxury lay in. I may make my decision in the morning based on observable inches of snow. Anything past 2, I'm turning over and going back to being Obama's sidekick.

Southern and Southeastern are cancelled across the board except 2 trains an hour between Brighton and London however I will bet my shoe they are stupidly delayed

ALL SouthEastern trains are suspended until further notice. Ouch. :eek:
