Oooh a dating question!

Hi Guys,

Ok, so some of you might be aware that I went on a great first date with a guy last weekend, we had a lovely time and the next day he asked if I was free again this weekend to meet up.

As we were both off work on Monday because of the snow, we spent a good part of the day chatting over msn and sent a couple of texts on Tuesday, so all well and good. But yesterday I didn't hear from him at all. I sent him a text last night asking if he could ring me when he gets a chance (he works until 11pm) but didn't get a call, so I left a message on his voicemail about an hour ago asking if we're still on for the weekend.

So do you think I should be worried about the lack of response since yesterday? Before we met up and were emailing eachother, he did take ages to reply and always apologised for his tardiness, but I really like him and thought I'd ask the men of OcUK what might be running through his mind at the moment! :D

On a serious note I wouldn't worry too much until it gets to Friday night and he hasn't got in touch.
 
Looking back at the thread I feel sorry no one has actually offered a straight reply yet. I am guilty of this too, so here is mine:

He sounds like a tardy kinda guy as experienced before. It's only been a day and you've only had one date so I would let it go. Perhaps he is trying to "play it cool" and not respond instantly all the time just to keep it interesting. Perhaps he is geniunley busy.

I'd say leave him and let him get around to it don't be too eager! You will have contact by tomorrow as you are meeting on the weekend I'm sure! If you don't hear anything tomorrow maybe contact him again and ask about the weekend. If no reply then ditch him :p
 
It was silly of me to expect serious answers here wasn't it :p

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to wait it out...

Edit: Thanks Knubje, that was a great answer! He really didn't seem the type to just disappear, so I'll just give him the benefit of the doubt and have patience :)

You're a girl, it's a dating question and it's on a computer shop forum? Yep, no sensible answers here except.........

He might have been busy, tied up, flat phone, mum in hospital, road accident, etc

One day of no contact after one date is nothing to worry about......two weeks is.
 
Just give him time to get back to you, he may have stuff on his plate and want to talk to you and be able to give you his undivided attention rather than just talk for the sake of it. :) Give him time. :)

I'm offended by your somewhat curt responses. I have been nothing but serious since joining this forum. :mad:
