left 4 dead 'dlc' announced

Going by the History of valve, I highly doubt they will make it payed for...

Remember how they kept adding maps&other content to TF2, DoD:S, etc ?
 
finally a bit of news :D

so excited for this, i still love playing l4d but more content is definitly a bonus. i doubt i could play any longer than i already do tho...

person who said about about teams of 6 in a pit for survival mode, sounds good. perhaps basicly whoever lasts the longest against waves of zombies wins?
 
Disappointing that there aren't any campaigns or weapons. A couple of different weapons alone would add replay factor.

I can't understand why that's been such a difficulty for them. There are very few changes between BH and NM in co-op and versus, so all I can see they're doing here is holding them back, so we have to pay for 'em.

Well they better be free!

they have to modify the limits of the levels, wall off areas so u cant fall off the map or get to unfair positions. i think thats why its taken so long.
 
More content for L4D is really needed, they should do that faster tho because it gets boring after a while.

Personally I havent got bored of it since release date. I do get bored of the ragers though, but then again it does make me chuckle when they all quit after one round.

I dont think they will charge for the DLC because of the success of TF2.

Personally I am still waiting for those "TEN" new weapons lol

You know what I meant.

Some of us prefer taking on the horde with our mates. Particularly as quite a few of my mates aren't too sharp at FPS's and it's nicer to play with them and help them learn rather than watch them get raped repeatedly by veterans so they don't want to play the game again.

Are these new vs ones just the other existing episodes playable in versus?

If so, definitely not paying for that. Unless this survival mode is good.

Yeah, i've noticed a lot of grumpyness from the french in particular when playing with them. Very serious, very grumpy and bark orders every ten seconds. The germans are usually very chilled out and you can have a laugh with them in general. The dutch are somewhere in between from experience, and the one time I played with a polish guy, well lets just say he was crazy.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm not for any moment suggesting that we should have to pay for the content. I'll be pretty annoyed if that's the case :/

I think it's just Death Toll and Small Town Vs maps that are being made available...Which is a case of "about time" imo.

Yeah, i've noticed a lot of grumpyness from the french in particular when playing with them. Very serious, very grumpy and bark orders every ten seconds. The germans are usually very chilled out and you can have a laugh with them in general. The dutch are somewhere in between from experience, and the one time I played with a polish guy, well lets just say he was crazy.

haha yeh ive noticed the french can be quite grumpy when ive played with them, me n my mate who team together constantly are quite adept and we do give out orders when its clear the person is new to the game n we tell them how to play but we also have a laugh along the way.

what does annoy me is ragers, and people without microphones...this game is essential for microphones for instance u cant expect me to know uve been raped by a hunter when ur not telling m n ur behind m or im blind from boomer bile.
 
I certainly wouldn't pay for that. I only play co-op so the additions to Versus really don't interest me. I was hoping for new maps, zombies or guns

I agree, but even then it's problematic. My german is passable to communicate, but my shocking knowledge of french from GCSE's at school, combined with inadvertantly chucking a few german words in there by accident, and general contempt from years on french ski slopes - does not a good communication make.

/re the French comments...Having the name FrenchTart in game often leads to amusing "oh noes, I hate French people" comments from people...Revealing that I'm not French (nor that much of a tart) is usually quite amusing for me.

Haha, we dont need zombies for a last man standing - just look at Safe-Room Deathmatch :D
