PS3 question for HD goodness

Ok basically on the back of my tv is the "HDMI/DVI IN" slot and on the back of my ps3 is the "HDMI OUT" slot. So what cable would i need so it can get HD enabled?

Is it this one:

Official Sony HDMI Cable For PS3
The slots sort of look like usb ones?

Sorry for sounding like a noob but cables get me confused

Any basic HDMI cable will do just as well as any expensive one or an official Bony one.
£5 will do you

you need a........hdmi cable lol.

you could get an official cable yes

or you could go to the rain forest store and get a cheaper hdmi.

Cheers im gonna go order a cable now.
It might sound so vain but ive been spoilt by my xbox360 in HD so i aint touched my ps3 ( had it for over a year) even though ive got 1 game for it (mgs4). But without HD the games looked bland, so now my ps3 is gonna be worth playing with. I might even buy a blueray dvd see what the fuss is about.
When i turned my ps3 on today to dl killzone demo it said i aint been on my ps3 in like 78 days

Have you changed the settings on your TV (what is it btw?) for use with the PS3, like contrast, brightness etc?

samsung 26" HD

Watching tv is fine, playing on my xbox360 is fine so why just the ps3?

If your not using a composite lead for the xbox, then the lead from the xbox will work in the PS3 too.

Sounds like a problem where the RGB levels on your display cable isn't working properly. It's doing more red than green and blue. Unplug and plug it back in again.
