Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

Nobody actually used the rockets on the calliope then.. it was just a fuelless tank... in that version u were saving all ur munitions for other abilities

Please explain how i can learn how to beat the allied team of a brit and a american receiving more resources than the axis?

The 2v2 game is just imbalaced, not due to any unit but the dynamics of the game itself

I find Company of Heroes very well balanced at the moment. There is rarely an occasion where I am unable to counter what the enemy throws at me. I have played both Allies and Axis in many skirmish and online games and I am happy with how it all balances.

Even versus an expert AI, although challenging, if you employ the correct strategies and tactics, you can overcome most of what they throw at you. I also don't find that the enemy team generates far more resources on their own. If there are multiple enemies that you're facing then naturally they will generate more resources because they are sharing and have more men available to capture points.

I am really looking forward to Tales of Valor now. I am trying to finish the single player campaign before it comes out so that I am ready for it :)

Care to elaborate on that a bit more? It's very easy to say things without actually providing details, but I am inclined to disagree with you for the moment until you can provide more on the subject. I certainly don't find any aspect of 2v2 imbalanced at the moment and I have had a lot of 2v2 games recently, vs both AI and people.

We've stopped playing against expert, hate the way it just ramps up the toughness of the troops... Totally changes the dynamic. Expert should mean the AI plays smarter, it shouldn't just be a cheat mode. So, we just throw in an extra hard if we do comp stomp, 2 vs 3 or 3 vs 4, gives a better game IMO.

I just started playing the original coh recently and im enjoying it, I suck though think its because im so used to the old rts way of playing. Need to get more practice in.

Wow. Soldiers: Heroes of WWII was an absolute stonker of a game, to me it was like CoH copied it! Can't wait for Men of War in that case....

Are you aware there was a sequel to SHOWW2 called Faces of War, and Men of War is going to be the sequel to that? You can get FoW in the bargin bucket now and it is still a stonking game, if slightly more action orientated than SHOWW2.

Yup cant wait myself. Loved the previous 2, more cod = good stuff in my book. Sadly i dont think this series is getting the attention it deserves :(.

I had completely forgotten about this coming out.

Really looking forward to it, the first two are in a list I have of the few games that have actually had me sat up for hours in the early morning playing "just one more mission".

Is this more a strategy game? Or like Call of Duty 4/5? If it's the latter....:D

RTS... Best RTS ever made in fact :D

Heh, I was doing a multiplayer last night, heard a bit of troop chatter I'd not heard before- sent my infantry section into a church and heard "Oi, let's see if Daffy bursts into flames" :D

Bored of Relic / THQ fobbing off the CoH community with promises of patches.

It is a good game, but the balance is so terrible it's broken the game frankly.

With more than 6 months since the last patch, it's been given less attention than Starcraft... How embaressing is that?
