Corsair TX 650W
Coolermaster HAF 932
Asus VH226H.

Build cost
Well i just got myself a Razer Deathadder so including that: £1,067
Which is a lot more than all my past budgets!:
At the start of last year it was £600, a few months later £700, a few months ago it was £800 and now ive spent £1,067

For my first build i would say it went very well, no major hitches or anything just got stuck a few times but bar that t'was all gurrrrd :D

So here come the picatures!

For my first build i think that everything went perfectly well, i am pleased that nothing went wrong and i didnt really struggle at anything either; im proud of myself.
Overall, all the components and hardware i am using has been a dream to work with and i cant wait to push them to their limits.
As i add more things to my system i shall keep you all updated with what im doing.
Thank you all for complimenting and even just looking at the pictures of the build, it's all greatly appreciated.
Many thanks :)

Thats all folks (for now....)

Enjoyed looking at the pics. Server size case like that is overkill for a desktop machine imo. Wouldn't the PSU be better upside down?

Turn your psu upside down mate so fan is facing upwards

No dont!

For those of you that are suggesting this:

Most of CoolerMasters's cases now have the psu at the bottom with a large vent and dust filter on the bottom on the case soley for the psu.

This enables what CM have branded the 'tunnel' effect - i.e. your psu sucks cool air in from under the case and dumps it straight out the back. Isolating PSU cooling, enabling it to run quieter adn more efficiently. It works very well in my experience and has the added benifit of your psu is not sucking hot air from the inside of the case away from other components, nor is it dumping hot air back into the case (depending on how you've installed it)

This is clearly explained in the CM case manuals, and the OP has installed it correctly with the fan on the underside.

Edit: see his 4th pic, the vents are clearly visible.

Hey, i've just finnished all the cable managing and have properly set my pc up on my desk.
Will upload the pics and put them on here in a min.

Now to answer the questions:
Looks good. Why did you stick with the standard intel heatsink?
Because i was short on cash, im getting a new heatsink at the end of the month, then i will start to OC.

Is that monitor the Samsung SM2053BW 20"?
Nope, its the ASus VH226H 22" (Its a VERY nice monitor)

+1 and the psu wouldnt fit upside down anyway.
