*EDIT* Build cost and Pictures of cable management, New dual screen set up and new DeathAdder added
So hear we go, my first build using the following spec:
G0 Stepping Q6600 (Retail)
BFG GTX 280 OC
Biostar Tpower I45
2x Corsair 2GB XMS2
Samsung F1 640Gb
Samsung Lightscribe
Corsair TX 650W
Coolermaster HAF 932
Asus VH226H.
Build cost
Well i just got myself a Razer Deathadder so including that: £1,067
Which is a lot more than all my past budgets!:
At the start of last year it was £600, a few months later £700, a few months ago it was £800 and now ive spent £1,067
For my first build i would say it went very well, no major hitches or anything just got stuck a few times but bar that t'was all gurrrrd
So here come the picatures!
Coolermaster HAF 932 Vs Dell Dimension 4700
Bit of a difference ey?
All of my beautiful components and monitor
The Biostar Tpower I45
...In the HAF (the retail heatsink was a bit oif a b*tch to install (and yes i did it before i put the mobo into the case))
Everything installed...
Now for the dreaded wireing!
All connected now, just got to do some proper cable management
CPU temp display on the mobo
and finally....
....IT LIVES!
It says select boot media device because i hadnt gone int o the bios and chosen the boot order.
This pic shows the Backlight bleed from the Asus VH226H ina pitch black room, no thing major as you can see.
THE NEW PICS
Better cable management:
Cable Management on the other side (it was such a mess before this ic ouldnt even put the side of the case on
)
My desk and my sexy new deathadder
(pretend the dell keyboard isn't there! g15 soon
)
They joy of multiple screens
For my first build i think that everything went perfectly well, i am pleased that nothing went wrong and i didnt really struggle at anything either; im proud of myself.
Overall, all the components and hardware i am using has been a dream to work with and i cant wait to push them to their limits.
As i add more things to my system i shall keep you all updated with what im doing.
Thank you all for complimenting and even just looking at the pictures of the build, it's all greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Thats all folks (for now....)
