Finally since having my 360 from launch I have made it to 1000 gamerpoints for a single game, PGR 4 although I used the DLC gamerpoints to boost my points :D

It was a long time coming but finally did it. Still need to do a 100% game though :o

I refuse to buy Avatar and games that are easy to gain gamerpoints.

This is not how most people would count getting 1000 achievement points in a game. I suspect you have not completed the most complicated/tedious achievement points in the base game, which defeats the point tbh.

Congratulations anyway, if you feel you have achieved something.

Stop being so negative

I have got 1000 points (the proper stock 1000, i.e. 100%, not using DLC boosting) in one game, Halo 3.

Although thanks to DLC I now have none at 100% :p

I protest, I posted 2 posts before him with the full intention of trashing your thread first.

Thats cause I wub u

Nice one cheets64.

Personally, I still don't have a 1000 points from any game. Not the reason I play them..and would probably stop if it was.

Aye, glad I never got into the whole epeen gamerpoints lark, It does a lot to a game and makes you replay certain games but I never spend hours trying to get an achievement.

Not sure how gamerpoints work but is a Platinum trophy on PSN the same as 1k gamerpoints?

Kind of. Basically to get platinum you have to get all the original achievements, so for example in little big planet i have more trophies than are required for platinum but some are from the MGS expansion so i don't actually get platinum.

In 360 games there is no extra 'reward' for getting all of the achievements in a game, it just adds up to a total, 1k is the number of achievements possible within a game without any expansions. In PGR4 with expansions for example there's a possible 1,250 achievement points available.

Amped 3 - quite hard to get 1000/1000 but loved it all, awesome game.
Oblivion - Already complete twice on PC, so easy.
N3 - Same as Amped 3, took quite a while get all characters to max level but enjoyed it none the less.

Welcome to the club. I've got 1000/1000 on NFS: Most Wanted (harder than it would sound, because the game is so annoying), Tomb Raider: Legend and Assassin's Creed (which was a PITA to get).

P.S. Getting 1000 points in Avatar counts counts as an automatic ban from this exclusive club :D

Damn so I'm in and out? :(

iirc Avatar makes 6 x 1000 :)

I've got 19 at 1000. Yet none of those where remotely hard. Finishing hard career on a guitar game took more effort than those 19k put together.

I get sucked in often, but I still maintain attaching a number to the achievements is the best thing MS ever stubbled across and the worst thing for gamers.
