It's a joke. Funny or not, it isn't pathetic. Not compared to enjoying R.C. cars as an adult anyway.
Obviously, I don't have anything against people who do enjoy R.C. racing, it isn't pathetic at all. It just goes to show you can't really apply such crazy standards against people who have different interests or past times to you.

How is comparing a hobby of mine to the retarded acts of a few students even remotely similar?
It was a pathetic waste of time, money, and not to mention the inconvenience of whomever the room belongs to.
Had this been a typical, "i'm a student waster, look at me, I play xbox and eat pizza all day long" then fair enough, but when it results in something so utterly useless, what is the point?

I suppose if wasting a lot of baloons, causing (albeit small) increase in enviromentally damaging waste, causing inconvenience, and generally coming across as a bunch of *****s is a "joke", then "ha ha".
