Who has SKY HD+?

Well I've got an engineer coming again on Wednesday as all my HD channels now don't work. Pixelated screen, it's all fine on SD

very happy mine was installed to see natures greatest spectacles on bbc HD

stunning TV and cannot wait for the salmon episode

My parents just went for the £49 box deal, they have to wait until April to get it installed due to high demand!

Hold on, I looked for that programme on HD when it came on BBC2.. but couldnt see it..

I aint getting sky Hd until the retarded £10 HD per month fee is dropped.

You'll be waiting a long time then. Sky make a hell of a lot of money out of the HD subs alone, why would they need to get rid of it? There was what, 600,000 HD subscribers or so from last years figures, so they are making £6 million just on HD subs.

Thats fine, i'll wait decades i am not bothered. I see it as a con tbh.

Why hostile?

If your prepared to get shafted & pay extra then thats up to you.

No-ones getting "shafted". Its completely optional if you want HD or not. No company in the world would give away HD for free, it costs way too much to transmit it.

Things like Freesat is different because they only have 1 and a half HD channels. They will bring in more, but will not be able to match the amount of channels Sky as anytime soon. They won't be able to afford it if they add a lot of HD channels.

Why is it a con? I dont understand that logic?

I got mine installed 2 weeks ago, engineer was very helpful. Also phoned direct to Livingston sky call centre for the HD channels to be sent again, instead of saying just wait anything from 2 - 72 hours.

Most ridiculous post of the month, its a new technology which costs a fortune to implement and maintain. £10 is hardly a sum worth pondering over.

lol why? I honestly don't see why you should have to pay an extra £10, even after paying for the channels in the first place! Don't get me started on multiroom. You could even end up paying £30 extra for 2x HD multiroom setup. Rip off in my opinion.

Great, its not in my opinion. Do you realise how expensive transponder bandwidth is and what bitrate the HD content is transmitted at?

Would you rather the HD sub was shelved and the base subscription price escalated to compensate? At least with the additional sub you have a choice to pay less and remain on the lesser service.
