Good stuff, nice one. 
Great video! Without sounding rude the standard filming/recording was a lot better than the previous vid of yours I downloaded (can't quite remember which one it was). 
I don't have the first clue about filming, so this might sound like a n00b question but I figure you didn't use the camera's onboard mic to record the sound in the vid? I downloaded the 1280 version and the quality of the audio is awesome!! Feels like you're standing right next to the car.

I used an XLR external mic but the WRC cars are loud so it helps I was looking at the footage and I thought my panning was a lot better. Its hard to get into some of these viewing places. Having to walk 3-5 miles with HDV camera and a tripod that is 7-8kg is hard work!Cheers Steve

downloading, out of interest what mic did you use?
Sony ECM-673 and camera is Sony HVR-Z1E
nice videos!! recognise a couple of the places, i was down by the water splash at sweet lamb, think i can make out my mates orange coat.....
must be almost looking at where you were standing in this photo;

Yeah (again i'm no expert) i'd say that some of the zooming in the shots was perhaps a bit too quick but then filiming a moving car and getting it all right can't be that straight forward. Practise makes perfect and all that.
The editing is quite good too, especially the cut shots of random stuff like the spectators/scenery. I think the only thing missing was some on-board footage.
How many hours of footage did you go through to make the vid?

Yeah practice makes perfect and they do fly past quickly so I'm happy with the overall product.
If I could get some onboard stuff I would! Although WRC.com are one of my subscribers on my YouTube channel

The editing was done within 2 days really - It took about 8 hours to render some clips but the reason it took so long to get it online was I was waiting for the right music.

Nice vid, I've just finished watching and the sound is good, very little wind noise which is great considering you were on some Welsh hills.
Although the Sunday we have great weather! Cold but sunny! q.f.t , especially that weekend!! on the Friday twas uber carp weather, especially at sweet lamb the second time (from when i took the photos posted above) one point temperature plummeted noticeably in a couple of minutes, a bitter wind blew up with rain to hail back to rain and a bit of snow for fun. Thought my face will fall off!
