Ah actually rp2000, they are being dispatched tomorrow for delivery on Wednesday according to their forum:

Just so you dont all get your hopes up, by the time the first batch were packed, Royal Mail had finished so please dont expect these tomorrow guys but Wednesday looks best bet :)

I love my girlfriend,

She just let me put the standard fightstick on here credit card from the jersey store.

I may not have got the job at What Laptop, but I'm full of beer and ready for Street Fighter IV

Side by side the difference would be big, but if you just get the standard stick with no compression you'll be a happy bunny. Its not so much about how it improves your game its more about how pant wettingly nice the TE will feel and thus giving you a slightly richer gaming experience.......and wet pants.
 
My "site that sends SMS" order (TE + Collectors Edition) is on "Processing" according to order status, is this what others have got too? (if so I'll cancel my Jersey order)
 
i know its not the TE arcade stick but a certain place has the Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Standard Edition in stock for £69.99 don't know how good these are

Others say DISPTACHED etc, but read their forums and it is clear nothing is shipping till tomorrow. Your TE order with them is safe and will ship tomorrow, even if your order status changes and email and SMS arrive today.

Ok cool. I just checked my email and I've got 2 "account charge" emails (1 for CE game, 1 for TE stick) so I guess that definitely means I'm getting one yay! Have cancelled my Jersey order :)

EDIT: If I had known it was going to be sent this early I would've taken Wednesday & Thursday off too!

First 3 comments sum up most people's attitudes to MadCatz (prior to the SF4 contract). :D

In practice, the rep is probably right, and it is just a small percentage with differing faults. Considering the buttons and stick are just as interchangeable as the TE stick, the design is modular and those people got a duff stick/and or buttons?

Do MadCatz have a history of putting out good products? I've not really seen them mentioned on these forums for a good company to buy peripherals from but suddenly they make this SF4 stick and they are the best thing since sliced bread ;)

I've never owned one of their products and never noticed anyone here saying they did before either.
 
thats because the TE stick IS the best thing since sliced bread (for sticks anyway) and i imagine the TE stick has very little to do with madcatz themselves other than pumping money into it... i mean the essentials (stick and buttons) aren't even made by madcatz but sourced from proper japanese manufacturer (sanwa) which are used in SF4 arcade cabinets.

cant speak for the SE stick though, there have been reports cropping up already of faults with the stick and buttons (which are made by madcatz on the SE stick).

oh and one person on my friends list is already playing this! must be legit too since im on psn :o
 
Madcatz do not have a history of making good products - quite the opposite n fact. The SF4 products are a fresh start for them though.

.... and having the idea for it, designing the product, artwork, box deisgn, internals, marketing. Apart from that lot nothing to do with Madcatz ;)
