I find it a bit of a co-inkidink that her ex-jailbird boyfriend asked her to marry him a day after he found out she was terminal with a few months to go.

I hope he doesn't become elligable for any of her estate when she passes. I see gold digging a mile off tbh.

I guess one 'advantage' is that she'll be able to get all her affairs in order, tie up any loose ends with friends/family and say her final goodbyes.

Were you not slightly suspicious of Jade Goody writing a book?

I'm not a fan of Jade Goody, and I don't blame her for trying to make more money to leave her kids. No one deserves to go through what she has to, but plastering your face around the mags in your last days isn't excatly trying to die with dignity.

First of all, Cancer is bad, and is not nice wishing it on anybody.

That said, she is milking this a bit much. Have a bit of dignity, spend the final months in private, with your family. Not broadcast it to the world, she might claim it brings awareness to the general public but I personally think it's all to do with money, knowing that this is the last chance of getting more money for her kids.

And great timeing on the part of the boyfriend to propose the day she gets the news that she is terminal. A way to get a big chunk of the estate perhaps?

As for Jade Goody being a role model, that's not Jade's fault but if people wants her as role model then its their head that needs to be checked.

I can't comprehend what it must be like to be told you only have months or weeks to live, I hope to god either I or anyone I know doesn't have to experience the horror of such a situation, and my absolute and deeptest sympathy goes out to anyone in that situation.

She has admitted that she wants to make as much money as possible for her sons, so they can have a good education and won't turn out the way she did.

As far as the boyfriend proposing, I don't think it's uncommon for people in long-term relationships to get married if one partner finds out they have a terminal illness. A lot of couples think they have a long to get married so just haven't done it yet. Some people want a wedding experience of their own or to live as a married couple before they die.

A nurse at my GP said that she is suspicious if Jade Goody has ever had smear tests, for it to be so advanced and late at catching it it has raised her eyebrows. She said she possibly ignored a lot of the signs that something was wrong a long time ago.
