Ended up watching Bad Influence clips on youtube till about 1am last night, I remember most if not all of the episodes as I religiously watched it every week!

In a way it's surprising how little we've advanced in the 17 years since the program was on air, still no workable VR systems and still the same self-learning robots that were featured on the show!

Kinda sad that we don't have any shows like this on TV any more, GamePad on Bravo wasn't too bad and lasted 4 series but that was it :(

Is this a thread to also discuss old game related TV progs? If it is I nominate Bitz. I used to love that show, aided as it was by at least one, borderline two relative "computer babes" for the time.

don't you love the "V.R." love in everyone was having at this time? 2009 and we still don't have it in our homes and I don't recall seeing a similar machine for years and years as they were pants..

lol

Anyone else remember the following bit of the show...?

It was a kind of data blast** bit where you had to record it on VHS and then later on, play it back. You would have to pause and step through it page by page using the frame advance, otherwise it would advance too fast. Each frame (or every few frames) it would be a page of tips or other gaming related info. Quite innovative I thought, at least at the time it was :D

**(can't remember the exact name and CBA to step through the youtube vids to find it)

Tomorrows world anyone? :D not entirely related, according to clarkson the program still lives..... Lost forever in the depths of the BBC building.

I think the first ever computer program on TV was on the BBC and it was mostly about programming the BBC Model B Computer but it did feature the odd game (I think) but this was early 80's and yes i did have a BBC B (cost £500 back then) Can't remember the name of it though.
