Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Just change the voices in the settings to all Japanese I suppose - then quit back to the title menu to enjoy the song - I was addicted to it while it was installing - must have played 10times in a loop...

I really miss SF4 - stuck at work :(

I think we need to make yet another Street Fighter thread with a poll.

INFACT. Can we add a poll to this one with one simple question.

SF2 or SF4?

In my mind of minds, I never considered SF3 to be a true sequel (although it is a good game).

Yes this is also true. But you know when a game is an instant classic.
To be honest, the from the first few games of SF2 that I played I knew it was a hit and a classic for the decades to come.

If you dont feel that way or at least oreintated in that direction about SF4 then I think you can answer the question easily now.
 
Just walked In a shop in Birmingham and picked up a TE stick, was surprised that they had some available, still have another on order elsewhere.

I love SF4, reminds me so much of SF2 having been there at SF2's original launch back in '92 I remember it very well, and playing SF4 just feels exactly like that, obviously with better graphics and a few gameplay changes.

Just need to get an arcade stick now so i can pull off some of the more complex combo's without causing RSI!
 
I finally have the game, just waiting for my TE stick to be delivered.

Getting some practice pulling off combos with my character on the standard 360 pad at the moment. Can do my 15 hit combo about 4/10 times on the pad which surprised me.
 
I just rang up 2 stores and clearly asked for the arcade sticks, they scurried off and told me the price of the game alone.

I got all excited when they told me they had some in stock, then they said £29.99 and I was like WTF.

Looks like I'm gonna have to make the trip tomorrow to get my reserved one.
 
Well been playin this last night and this morning, gdamn seth is cheap :(
Grabbing me mid super n stuff bleurgh

Netcode seems doable just as long as network is anything above mid.
Lower network and the lag is silly, especially in the air, massive slowdown til you land.

I will laso retract what I said earlier about the 360 dpad, tested it on HDRemix and it was pants tried it on here, a little soft but has been working fine.
The Hori stick whilst nice is a tad light for my liking, wondering wether to keep it, shame was looking forwards to it.

Also waitin on my ken pad arriving too, second will be a akuma/gouki one when I get round to it.
 
havent read all this thread , has anyone bought this for the PS3 yet ? i think its released today just wondering if its worth buying?

just realised what happened to the replay/save function :hmm:
Had a few rounds with v0id earlier and some of em were quite entertaining, nuthin better than missing 2 ultras in a row, only to be ultra'd to death :(
 
I know it's probably been mentioned but what's it like on a 360 controller ?

The last time I played SF was back on the snes :p

I downloaded the demo of the 360 version and found it really hard to do fireballs with ken / ryu :(
