COD4 S&D players

Hi Folks,

I'm really into playing a lot a COD4 but am getting a bit bored of just playing team death matches. I really want to play some good S&D, I much prefer the style of play as it reminds me of my good old competitive CS days. However most of the public S&D servers are rubbish and the average player still plays them like a deathmatch ie, tries to kill all the opposition instead of planting the bomb etc.

Can you recommend any good S&D servers? I don't know anyone else IRL who plays COD4 on the PC so please add me as a steam friend too, I think I am down as Slinkie on the steam community (I only set it up the other day).

I play a lot of S&D on one server only.

Its very well admined, no BunnyHopping, marty, last stand, and n00b tube. Lots of regulars.

It gets very busy during the evening but its a worth while experience.

Lol, the thing that you get confused is that its generally not 'bunnyhopping', jumping continuosly as such, its 'strafe jumping'. I run and strafe jump round corners, as do most top players.

I play promod, no such thing as noob perks.

Bunnyhopping is for lamers, it ticks me off but I don't care THAT much as I still am pretty good (consistently get 1st on my team)without hopping around like a queer.

Pub servers are boring, play pickups or get some friends together and play pcw's.

If you must play pub, play on the latest promod (4.31 is current but its changing everyweek

) servers dignitas, esuba etc

Servers with no bunnyhopping are the most ridiculous servers about.
Why not bunnyhop? Its probably because the people who make the rules have pretty **** aim.
Play promod servers, they're probs the best.
I always play the <)dOb(> Promod server although it does get quite annoying sometimes as it is often very full.

If you want PCW's use mIRC and #cod4.wars
But if your searching for a scrim, always get a skill level above you want, people on there always think they are great so advertise themselves too high

Are there pro mod specific servers? I'd much rather play on them. I deffinately like the idea of Pro mod more than vanilla COD4 due to the restrictions on perks and weapons.

Do you understand how limited your view is? you play 1 aspect of the game, public..... if you even bothered to understand how good those people are you may actually gain a little respect for the game and how its meant to be played.

Anyone who says bunnyhopping is illegal is straight out wrong, its in the game, anyone can do, and tbh it doesnt give anyone any advantage. People who complain about it either are old, cant do it themselves or crap at the game.

if the mod is designed around hopping then that is different, I hop in quake and stuff because that's just an entirely different game. I might pop in to try myself

na its not, its designed to make it a competitive enviroment to play in, give everyone an equal ground.
