It's just because it sounds right. It's like road numbers, the A133 is the ay one three three, not the ay one hundred and thirty three. Or the B1402 is the bee fourteen oh two, not the bee one thousand and two.

Everyone at works refers to it as "0 10"?? Like the one after 0 9.

At first it sounds right and easy but obviously it just isnt?!?!?

haha, twenty; oh! nine...

it's like a mother who is exasperated at her son she questionably named 'nine', not sure why the twenty is there...maybe 'nine' just counted to twenty for the first time and she is actually portraying proudness.

How do you say 1901 (Nineteen Hundred and One) ? or 2001 (Two Thousand and One)?

Is it me but the first 10 years after the millenium seems to be the exception to the rule.
