Focus RS Review

Probably helped save a bit of money too since they then didnt have to redesign the whole car to suit 4wd and they can turn a profit on them rather than losing loads on every one sold. I imagine this had more to do with it personally!

You've not read Capilo's info on the car then ? :p

Looks like Ford have nailed it and it does look tidy from what I can see on that video. I am sure someone answered this before but when are these due to hit the showrooms?

I sincerely hope that this will hush some of the 'it's FWD so it will suck' brigade. I had no doubt that it was going to be a great car to be honest.

I'd have one in an instant :)

300bhp, 320lb/ft, 1400kg yet 5.9s 0-60? Sounds to me like the awesome traction of the revoknuckle isn't quite as awesome as they make out.

One word. What!?

Yes the revoknuckle is actually the higgs boson generator able to generate anti matter.

70% less scrub radius between kingpin offset and wheel centre has always resulted in a better 0-60 and thats it.

Remember what Fox said the other day, you're doing it here.

Any 0-60 in the fives is actually pretty bloody impressive for a FWD car. Who gives a **** about 0-60 anyway? Such a crap way of gauging a car's real-world performance.

I don't remember what he said the other day, don't care what he says at the best of times anyway.

The point I'm making is that they make out that the FWD layout is super awesome and is not a compromise. Considering the PWR of the car, it's obvious that the performance is being compromised by the FWD. There are even suggestions that you can't use full acceleration in second gear without triggering the TC. Fact of the matter is, you can launch a 4wd with 300bhp from max rpm with almost no wheelspin, THAT is no compromise.

Kindly take your condescending attitude and stick it.

There is a compromise, your clutch!
