3 on 3 NHL Arcade

i was just saying this to someone, how its one of the better arcade games I've played in a while on Live. over the past few months most of the arcade games I've tried have been pretty average :(
 
No fighting but you can check the hell out of each other and the keeper. Also when you get power ups you can whack players all over the rink. Great fun. No offsides, no icing.
 
Bought this last night and thought it was great fun. Tis quite hard, even on easy, only won 1 game against the CPU.

Anyone up for trying to get the online 50 point achievement??
 
Sure mate, I have a friend who will do it to give us three.

I don't use the skill stick, I find it a bit slow. I find the CPU on easy tough as well. If they added a league and more teams on this game I'd buy it rather than a full price hockey game. It has great potential.

I'm using buttons too but not using the sticks it appears i'm missing out on some things. Probably why I'm not scoring many...
 
Skill stick is the way forward :)

After playing a few games with it I can comfortably beat the cpu to 10 in the first period of play. If you have ever played any of the proper NHL games, then the skill stick will feel natural :D

This game is awesome. Had some games the other night with a friend from work and we had a right laugh!!

It prompted me to download the NHL09 demo, which I will now probably buy. I guess their idea of marketing NHL through the Arcade game has worked a treat on me!!

downloaded the demo of this and its brilliant. need more points for the full version though- only have 500 at the mo:mad:
 
I picked up this game as its really good. However sorting out games with mates is a bit of a nightmare. I couldn't find a way to limit it to friends lists. Every time i set up a game some random would join. Spent ages starting and canceling games till my mate was quick enough to join me. I'm hoping i was just being blind and there is a way to limit it to friends like most games.

Also had a issue where i couldn't connect with my friend but sorting out port forwarding seemed to fix it. First game i've played that needed the extra steps.

Apart from all that great game.
 
you can do 2v2 online. But you cant seem to mix the teams up. (ie have the two sat next to each other on different teams).

Where is the friends only option i spent ages looking for it as i assumed thre would be one but couldnt find anything?
 
you can only play 2v2 online by using your tag and a guest tag signed in on your console (also the same on the other persons console). me and a few friends spent ages trying to figure out how to play 2v2 online but it seems you just can't with 4 players all at different locations?
