Eat preservatives, live longer

As others have already noted, the more worrying thing is not the moron asking the question but the moron teaching. I despair, I really do. :(

But its only part of the answer, eating preservatives a lot and eating meats and fruit and veg and exercising you will probably live longer.

Eating preservatives and junk food a lot you wont.

I was thinking just that. No wonder kids are so damn thick when they're taught by dullards.

Look at the future teachers, they go to uni study English or some strange degree, get ****** for 3 years then are allowed to teach after doing some teacher training course.

From what I've heard Alcohol is a preservative (spirit/fortified wines keep) so I plan on drinking lots of it to live longer (I'll be pickled!) :D;):o

Going from what a mate has told me who is a nutrionist

Nutritionist and not a dietician? If he has a proper qualification tell him to start calling himself a dietician, any old Tom, Dick or Harry can legally call themselves a nutritionist! :p

The thing about preservatives is that a lot of them can actually be pretty nasty in high amounts. Sodium Nitrite and ethanol are carcinogenic, so it probably wouldn't keep you alive any longer...

The body doesn't know what to do with preservatives so instead of passing them as waste it decides to convert them (perhaps through magnetism) into fat and keep them around, in case they're useful/to break down when convenient?

Whereas organic food, rich in nutriment and free of these diabolical chemicals looking to swindle the body into providing them free high-rise fat condos, makes you lose weight?

Skull, you're an awesome nutritionist! Can I preorder your book?!

Also, when's the TV show? How're you gonna outdo the Awful Poo Lady?

Are you taught by the same person as the OP by any chance?

On topic though, no, preservatives will not make you live longer. Not even the basic olde worlde ones like salt and urine.
You'll probably leave a prettier corpse than the rest of us though.

Going from what a mate has told me who is a nutrionist preservatives are work of the devil :P

Big cause of general fatness! Body doesnt know what to do with preservatives in a large amount (found in quite a lot of foods! and looking at some peoples trollies in asda diets are to be desired) and cant break it down. So instead it stores all this as fat until the body has the time to break it down.

If you start eating organic most people will find they start to loose weight as the body can digest all the organic matter as its proper food and will then start to work on the deposits stored.

Makes a big difference in the well being of people now, we still eat a lot of the same foods people use to back in early 1920s+ but it was just fresh produce all the time.

So no I doubt you will live longer probably just end up a fattie and die of a heart attack.

O another thing, there is a chemical in seaweed that makes all food taste better. They add this to foods today so everything tastes better than it normally would. The only problem is it has around 50 different chemical names and looking for it on a food label could take quite some time.

Wow, I'm not a "nutritionist" but common sense would seem to suggest that the above is a load of twaddle.

Preservatives weigh virtually nothing and have virtually no calorific content. Your body certainly doesn't store preservatives as fat.

As for organic food making you lose weight - again, that doesn't make sense at all.

The only part that has some substance is the seaweed part. It probably contains something similar to MSG which is a well known flavour enhancer.
