Focus RS Review

The engine noise is sublime :o

And £24.9k!

Are there any detailed interior pics at all? wonder if it's the same cheap feeling plastic inside as the ST?

Congratulations, you linked to a post where I said I never did that. If anyone strolls around all high and mighty acting like the engineering god then it is you, pal.

Thing is, he is :p

Seriously do you really believe the statements you type where you appear to know more than OEMs? If so you should go apply for a job there.

No you said you had a self image where you didn't, userbase majority have a different perception. You said a lot of BS in this thread aswell to be fair.

I simply post stuff I'm aware of, typically this covers both side of the coin. I'm some what offended by the use of the word acting though :p

I don't know what it is about the RS but I am not keen on it. I can't put my finger on why though. I would much rather the Megane R26.R. It may be down on power but it is significantly lighter (its 0-62 is the same at 5.9seconds) and if EVO's review is anything to go by it doesn't seem to have any minus points.

One thing does bug me though:

New Megane R26.R - £26k (once you add the roll cage, T-888 tyres, Titanium exhaust and a couple of the other options)

57 /08 R26 - £11k

Given how good the standard R26 is, it does make it difficult to justify the extra 15k or so.

Yep, that said, if my experience with the 120D m, is anything to go by, the focus interior is as good as that.

You dont buy a car like this for interior comfort, you buy for hooning around:p

Yeah but as the reviewer said it's ideal for daily use as well so cabin comfort would be an added feature tbh :p

It will be comfortable, Ive done a fair few miles in the ST and its been pretty comfortable, ive done trips upto Scotland,Germany and France and not got out aching or anything like that. Im guessing the RS is just going to be that little bit firmer. And quicker:d

Yeah but at the end of the day, the guy in the M3 is driving an M3 and the guy in the focus is driving a focus with stuck on tat :P

So what happens when the M3 is next to a Ferrari 430?

If the Focus is your thing then cool. No everyone can afford or wants an M3.

Didn't someone here get an M3 for less than 25K recently? or was that an M5....

But anyway, an E46 M3 CSL still looks meaner than the RS imo, although I admit the RS looks badass to begin with it will still always be seen as a Focus with nice looking bits by the majority of people. Many people can't even tell an M3 from a standard 3 series coupe!
