Just wondering if anyone knows anyone selling a cheap runaround at all.

Budget £750 max.

Looking for something reliable (well thats got a bit of life in it) with a small engine.

Decent bodywork would be a plus but isnt a requirement.

Something along the lines of a Mk2 Fiesta, Corsa B, Citreon Saxo, Micra...

Cheap is the key here...

And preferably close to high wycombe buckinghamshire...

I don't know how old you are but you will get a much better "bigger" car for the money and a larger engine doesn't necessarily mean unecomical.

I want to say Merc 190e 1.8/2.0, although i don't know loads about them they are meant to be bullet proof unless someone knows otherwise.
 
In regards to the mk2 fiesta listed, you can now get a mk4 (1995–1999) model within your price range, i hear/read good things about the 1.25 zetec models.
 
im worried about cars with 100k+ miles

are they ok

im 21 and just looking for a cheap runaround between sports cars...

small engines give good economy, im not looking for speed at all, and are cheap to insure as im probably going to have this car less than a year then scrap it...

I do really like the mk4 fiestas and yeah the 1.25 engine was amazing...

find me one and I shall go purchace....

having a hunt myself now :)
 
£750 isn't "Jalopy" money. £150 is Jalopy money.

Just buy anything, if it's going to go in the bin in a year I'd recommend a Volvo 700/900 or a Mondeo but if you want a small car? Saxo/Punto/Fiesta it's all much of a muchness to be honest.
