Looking for a macro capable gamepad for pc with more than one programmable button.

So I can use it on sf4 and emu on pc bind ultras and other hard moves to a single button press.

Anyone recommend or have a macro gamepad ?

Its people like you (no offence...) which will make the PC versions online competitions a complete farce.
Sucks to be forced to buy a console to play this game in an "even playing field".

I used to have one from Mad Catz..so they may do one?
then it went haywire and they never responded back to my warrenty request so never bought from them again.....

Back on topic :p

I never used the macro function its pure cheating lol

How is it cheating ? people been doing this for years on macro keyboards and gamepads on pc.

Anyway I have found one now with 4 buttons with up to 16 command inputs.

I could say the same thing that only people who can afford a good fight stick are cheating because most people cant afford one.

Macros = cheats, do it manually or dont bother as most of the fun is pulling them off manually for a finishin move, whats the point if u just press one button and its done for u.

Because some things are nigh on impossible to do on a gamepad ? suck as guiles ultra's or supers.

Some of us cannot afford £150- £200 for a good arcade stick.

I'd rather bind the moves I simply cannot do not through lack of skill but the tool I am using.

Anyway it's not how you do a move it's when you do a move that matters.

Right well in that case there should be a little icon to see what your opponent is using as an arcade stick is as good as cheating against a gamepad user.

I have played sf2 since the arcade days and I simply cannot reliably do some charge characters moves on a gamepad.

I don't think it's a big deal if you can bind them.

Stop talking crap. An arcade stick is nothing like macroing the moves to one button. Hell go look in the SF4 thread in the console section and you will still see loads of people who struggle even if they have an arcade stick.

I am talking about people who know how to play.

The reason they cant do it on an arcade stick is that they are not skilled or just not used to sf or arcade sticks, it is not the tools fault.

Whether you like it or not emu's online are full of people using macro keyboards and gamepads and the same will happen on sf4.

If you cant beat em join em.

No just practice, thats one of the things with fighting games with special moves, u gotta practice pulling the moves off thats how ppl get good.

I honestly hope people of your mindset are a minority...

This current trend of "OMFG I must spend £hundreds on a stick to stand a chance at SF4" is complete bullcrap.
SF is one of the only beat em ups that relies almost purely on player skill which scares a lot (not all) of people into thinking that spending a small fortune on a stick will somehow make them more skilled.
Give me a SNES pad and I'd happily take on anyone using a £200 arcade stick, but not somone using a macro pad.

Yes but you cant have a snes pad though can you.

This is the point and I feel sorry for people on xbox 360 who cannot afford a fightpad or arcade stick.

Exactly what gamepads have you used to play this game or any other 2D fighters then?

Maybe you were unfortunate to have crappy pads, or you just need to practice more.

ps2 pads logitech rumblepads but the charge moves like guiles super are just not reliable on them.

an arcade stick will always be reliable once you get use to them so i think a one button macro pad should be acceptable at least so I can compete with arcade stick users.
