Nowhere I want to be.
Hi,

What would the annual running cost of one of these be ?

Say 20K miles a year.

Whats the MPG like?

How would it compare to a jag XJR.

I want the jag, but the RangeRover looks really nice.

Not another one :(

Surely the running costs depend on whether you buy a 2.7 Diesel from a dealer or a 4.2 Supercharged from a member of the 'Birmingham Massivez'?

Is he doing it for the LOLZ?

If you want to spend a huge sum of money does it really take that much effort to google RangeRover Sport MPG and do a quick calc based on 20k per year?

The mpg of the rangerover is more then a ferrari 360 but less then ford mondeo TDCI. Hope this helps.

It's a shame that they get driven by such strong examples of the stereotypes, as I quite like the cars. I could never buy into that image though.

XJR 4.2 Supercharged: 23 mpg
Range Rover Sport 4.2 Supercharged: 17 mpg

However, if fuel economy or running costs are even half an issue, you can't afford to run either of them.

How does one afford a Range Rover Sport when your location is 'Ma Cribz'.

Are you gangster, yo?

Top Gear did a qunatitative evaluation of 'bling' a while back, and concluded that - if one has a Cadillac Escalade parked outside of their mother's house where they in fact lived, couldn't afford to run/insure/etc. it - such an act was socially acceptable among people who buy jewellery from catalogues.

I'm curious, as nobody in their right mind would consider running a Range Rover Sport for 20k miles a year, unless they owned an oil refinery.

The Jaguar would be slightly cheaper, but it would be a bit like a comparison between using Kristal champagne or crack cocaine to fuel a drug habit: both would be obnoxiously expensive, but one would be slightly more affordable than the other.

I dont see why he cant ask the question? People dont get rich for throwing money away! If one proves to be a few k less a year to fuel / run you would possibly go for that if you were torn between the 2.

Every penny counts in Ma cribz
