Rules: Using Right Move or similar, search for your postcode and set radius to 40 miles. Post the best house that comes up. Doesn't necessarily have to be the most expensive. My entry is though at offers in excess of £10,000,000 :eek:

Would be interesting to see what different type of property you can buy in the north and south. :)

Given I live within 5 miles of the centre of London, a 40 mile radius will no doubt encompass a number of 'pimped' pads :P

I.e. there are 3 x 'in excess of £70 million' 23/24 bedroom palaces in Surrey available, lol

However, I've also found a place within 40 miles of the missus' location which would do me ok, it's only 5 bedroom but comes in at a cool $30 million :p

Offers in excess of £70million and that's ignoring non-residential properties in London.

It is, utterly digusting though.

There's another 22 bed for bang on £70million that looks alright though.

If I had that kind of money, there's no way in hell I'd spend it on a house in the UK. Not at all.

It would have to be Beverly Hills, Mulholland Estates, etc. for me.

I'll be there one day.
 
Just down the road from me , so should I say almost next door :)

Its called Toad Hall, used to me a horrid 1960s dormer, always had the pool though.
The took 18 months to turn it into this, it would have been quicker to knock it down and start again.

Updown Court used to be (I thought it still was) the most expensive property in the world. £70 million for it now, seems a massive drop from what it used to be on sale for.

EDIT: Ah, it still is. Always been £70 million too. :o
