Ryanair - charging for the bog - another reason not to use them.

This will not get passed, surely? Consumer rights groups would be all over them.

They've already got a fairly bad name, this would finish them.

What would happen if people started having a poo and peeing in the cabin, fines.

For one brief second I thought it was April Fool’s Day. I do wonder whether they can actual implement something like this?

I booked flights the other day - their 'other charges' are now absolutely ridiculous. I remember it used to be £7 to take a bag.

I wanted a bag on the outgoing and return flights - that was circa £30, as you pay for the bag and 'airport checkin' on both legs.

They also wanted a credit card fee on ANY card other than Visa Electron (including a Ryanair Mastercard, if you had one). This fee wasn't a standard 2/3%, like with nearly anyone else that charges one - it is £4.75 PER FLIGHT. So 2 people with return flights, that's circa £20.

Ryanair really are appalling, but it's only a flight to Dublin, and it didn't cost much (surcharges were more than the flight!). Certainly wouldn't go anywhere further with them.

So will this coin slot will take Pounds, Euros, Krona, Turkish Lira and supermarket trolley coins?
Does he not know that April 1st is 4 weeks away?

I prefer cash, its quicker, less chance of having your pin stolen, you know how much you've got left, you cant accidently go over drawn, not everywhere takes cards especially if you want to pay for somthing under £10 etc

Obviously I use cards as well but only if i don't have any cash or for things approx over £100

I always use cash as much as possible. We have some control over cash we have none of the electronic money supply.

Debit/Credit card details can be stolen and your account emptied.

That really is such an awful reason to carry cash. Unless you are stupid enough to leave your PIN written down with a card, there is very little chance of an opportunist thief being able to access any money at all before you can cancel the card.
It's almost impossible to totally empty someones account having stolen the card (note stolen, not cloned) before the account holder has a chance to call the bank. If you rely on cards, you WILL notice if your purse/wallet is missing within 24 hours.

I would guess there's some law against it. Like how pubs have to provide free tap water on request.

I suppose they could hire an annoying black man to stand in the toilet offering lollipops and fake perfume and give him a silver plate?
