Erm, all the above makes you more "likely" to gain weight, either through increased intake or decreased output.
They do NOT however, defy the law of energy conservation . Where energy is "produced" from nothingness. To gain weight, you need to EAT. If you dont EAT, then you dont gain weight. Just keep the energy equation balanced and you wont gain any weight. eg A hypothyroid person in negative caloric balance will still lose weight.
