I realise I wasnt around too much at the weekend since i was sick if not you take the victory. Since my whuppings by Kree yesterday ive lost interest :p

if you are around between 5-10ish then ill be up for playing though :)

The problem with only playing one character is that I eventually learn how to fight them :p

I think you'll do really well, in our first few fights you surprised me and I had no idea what to do!

How long do we have till we get a free wave to next round? My opponent hasn't posted for about 2 weeks.

Also that white suit that C.Viper has looks amazing!

I'm starting to doubt my skills with Ryu now. Maybe i'll have a look at some other characters.

Still stuck on hard trial 2 since release date.

What nights you available for a game?

EDIT: I thought the stage ran Sunday to Saturday?

It still says in the rules on the first post in this thread that rounds last from Sunday to Saturday.:confused:

Anyway, I should be able to get on at 9.30pm.

Tbh I dont think Ill be progressing further. My stick is up for sale so its all packed up. Plus I tried to play with the pad and can definitely say that if I do get past round 1, probably wont get past round 2.
 
people put too much emphasis on the stick, it really doesnt improve your game that much. it definitely helps in certain areas (speed) eg. rapid pressing, slide inputs, and 360 sort of inputs...

a lot of people seem to think stick = instant god mode :confused:

maybe if you grew up in the arcades and never play any beat em up on a pad, then i can maybe see it as a comfort thing. i can only really seeing a real benefit if you are at the top of your game and the pad is literally limiting what you can do

I genuinely know where you are coming from and also thought the above when everyone on here went stick mad!

But I grew up playing the game on pad and in the arcades and I know my performance is better with the stick, especially when it comes to a charge character like Guile.

And I have been playing the game with a stick until recently (e.g. against you and others online), and have to say my ability to pull of the moves fluidly has been impacted. You're right it doesnt turn you into a pro, but dammit it does help to pull off moves/combos easier.

Kreeeee - If I kept the stick its a reminder that I have to perfect the game and my technique, and if I dont put in the time I feel guilty having bought the stick for such an amount of money :D And as my MBA course has restarted, I really should be putting any spare time I have into that as opposed to the game :D
