**EMPIRE TOTAL WAR**

I've started out as Sweden, enjoying it so far.

As I bought the game on steam, I don't have a manual.

Anyone in the know as to how to change government types?

Sweden starts out as an absolute Monarchy, I am about 30-35 turns in, and people are going nuts in the cities clamouring for reform, especially in India.

The little pop up woman in the top left of the screen suggests a change of government type, can't work out how to do it :confused:
 
Well, after 2 days of trying to activate the game before install, I got the game loaded and had to go to work. Another 8 hrs before I finally get to actually play the game...
 
Also playing the road to independence and loving it, about 10 turns in so far.

Brilliant game, taking my time over it and playing all the battles that crop up. :D

Boooooo :p They declared war on one of my minor province allies, so I went to the aid of my ally and now the sweaty spaniards are crippling my trade routes and blocking my jamaican port

And now Sweden declared war on my other ally - Austria, so being the noble Englishman I am, i sided with my ally, and now I have the stinkin swedes decimating my northern shipping trade.

Hehe, I cant help it, it is the land of my forefathers so I need to play with them (first at least :D )

I originally tried GB, but left it off because I didn't want to muck it up and get depressed - especially if the French beat me. So I went for the Maratha Confederacy and took over India. However, I made a few fundamental errors and didn't fancy starting again on the Indian sub-continent. The only other faction I fancied in Europe was Sweden, so that's who I am now. I'm about 25 years in, have conquered Denmark and Poland-Lithuania, made a staunch ally of Prussia and am currently at war with Russia - they keep starting and I keep making peace, but not this time! I'm down to the Baltic and there's no stopping me. Moscow soon and then it's just a matter of time until the others fall. And to think I actually wanted to leave Russia in peace and go after the United Provinces/Hannover. I like have to rethink my strategy all the time :)
 
I'm playing as the Dutch on H/H and it really is hard :) Every move i make upsets someone and i'm constantly in trouble with either the austrians, french or spanish. Loving the challenge of the campaign map. The landbattles arent really that tough
 
Is anybody else sticking the camera right down in the action when you fire off a salvo fix bayonets and charge the enemy line :D

I just haven't got bored of watching it down at that level it's like having my own episode of Sharpe (except with more people, correct musket drill and realistic outcomes :p)

Ohh and don't get me started on approaching canons as they let rip with grape :eek:

Just picked this up from a hig street retailer, was only £37 for the special forces edition, so not too bad. Just installing now, can't wait to play, really can't be bothered going to work at 6pm now hah.
 
im starting to think i should cancel my order and pay 35 for it, but £24 for the special edition is too tempting, who minds waiting a few days, im not here all weekend anyway. Stupid silly cheap prices! Theres just that "urge" to have the game though dammit!
