I currently have a P150 and would like to upgrade my graphics cards in the near future however there is a slight problem... length!

My 8800GT cards only just fit. I gather that the high end Nvidia and ATI cards are longer than the GT (up to 2 1/2 inches longer).

What I need to know is what is the biggest card that would fit into a P182.

Why P182? Well I'm a bit of an Antec Fanboy and find the gamer cases a bit to brash (plus I suspect the gamer 1200 for example is the same dimensions as the P182 anyway).

So what graphics cards do you have in your P182s and what are the space constraints like?

Got a 8800 GTS (g92) sitting fine in mine, can imagine it been a bit tighter if the caddy was in place tho.

Got a 4850 in mine with the middle hdd/floppy caddy left in, no probs.

If you remove the caddy you should be able to fit any card in.

I've only got two SATA drives which could go in the bottom section. That means I can remove the caddy and install any graphics card(s).

Brill!

Thanks

I've got a GTX 295 in mine with the middle hard drive cage removed... getting rid of it though for a Lian Li A77.

i got the 182 SE and i fit an 8800 Ultra in there, was tight if you have the cage but i dont use it so its fine

I have a 4870 in mine, I put only 1 HDD in the middle rack with my other 2 drives in the bottom rack, otherwise it was a tight squeeze for the gaphics card cables. The 4870 cables plug into the rear of the card increasing the clearance needed.

I might be swayed... I've just had a good look at the Lian Li web site.

Their new cases look really good... especially the PC-7FW.. but the question still remains.. what is the longest length graphics card it can accommodate?

I'm downloading the manual but it's taking an age....

I looks like there may be an inch more than the depth of a standard ATX board.. difficult to tell from the pictures though.

On the P182 if you remove the centre disk rack you can fit something about 8cm longer than the 4870 (I think that is everything on the market).

Why is that?

Wanting more noise?
(A71 would be lot more sensible step up)

It was a nice enough case (and quiet) but has been cut up and bashed around over the years so will be going in the bin as soon as i get my A77 and i figured the A71 is too small for the internal WC that i want + it's been powder coated and having mods done to it so it's too late to change my mind now. :)
