Can someone explain why this **** is still competing in sport? I thought that he had been caught taking drugs and banned?

He is being lauded at present and I can't figure out why he's being allowed to compete at all, let alone given a medal.

I obviously don't keep up with these things but I thought that lifetime bans were given out to these cheats?

Nope 2 year ban for first offence I think you get a life one if you get caught again.

This will rumble on all summer as Chambers is eligible to run for GB in the World Championships (he's banned for life from the Olympics) and he's almost certain to get there as he's our number 1 sprinter they'll have no choice to let him run either as he'll take them to court if they don't.

He's served his ban and that means he should be allowed to compete because those are the rules at present. The problem is that in taking drugs he will almost certainly have altered his physique permanantly and therefore the effects from his taking drugs might well still have an influence even now, long after he has finished taking them which means it is still not fair to the other competitors (assuming of course that they aren't also taking something).

I think we could simplify the whole thing by allowing performance enhancing drugs. It would save a lot of confusion and would make athletics very interesting to watch.

Not all male athletes should be forced to shrink the size of their testicles in order to compete.

I think sports men who are found using performance enhancing drugs (or whatever you want to call them) should be banned from the sport full stop.

See I can't help but think this myself. Prior to the drugs he wasn't even the best sprinter in the UK, let alone Europe, and yet now we're expected to believe this current form is all from purely "sober" training in the last couple of years, during which he swanned off to pretend to be an American football player. Hmm ok.

i believe you are wrong with that one.

they need to bring in similar rules to the usa team, where they got banned and a prison sentence.

After reading an article in the mail on Sunday it appears he owes the sports governing body $170,000 from his winnings while he was taking drugs and they are saying if he does not pay it back they will end his athletics career.
As he does not have that sort of money it says his career is effectively over.
