The new ride ...

ANYONE who tries to defend people who buy cars brand new on this forum would be met with some of the quotes below...

Which is why I can't argue with you lot because although you make good points, most of the time you just insult people and tell them what an idiot they are. Somehow I think if we were all face to face this wouldn't have gone so sour.

You seriously do not get it do you. You are the one who came in being all abusive.
You are the one who started an arguement about nothing, which nobody spoke about. You are the one who kept on fighting your corner for no reason.

Then you claim 'internet anonimity' is making people say things that they wouldnt face to face.
Honestly, if you were talking to me like you have been on here, you would have been dismissed from my area a long time ago lol

And if you look Fox did his typical 'evoke a reaction' tactic with "one day you might own your own car Scott." Hardly helping to keep things calm.

I didn't come in abusive, I simply started a debate/argument. I'm sorry if that's ****ed you off, you didn't have to take part.

which was after your first comment coming in calling people who prefer used to new idiots

Lol this thread is accelerating away, refresh for some more repetition, almost seems a waste of web space lol.

Definitely think it's like posting a thread on DW about washing your car with brillo pads heh. Petrolheads have very different needs to most people, and this place is full of them.

So what? if its that typical why didnt you ignore it.
Its a relevent post though, as you seem to be talking about motors like you know everything yet you do not drive one yourself!

rofl. you did come in abusive!
oh, i was in this thread before you, not after. your stupid comments did not draw my attention to the thread.
However, your comments have attracted a lot of pointless posts in this thread. well done.

Don't let these muppets have a go at you. .

that was the start of your first post.
good game!

I've got work tomorrow and I'm sick of this now. We could go on all night and it's a waste of bandwidth. So go on then, have this one on a plate, enjoy it. I surrender. Happy now?

I was going to ask you lot for advice on buying a car for my 21st in a few months time (which I've been saving up for for the last 4 years now) so I guess we'll see your true colours/how forgiving you are then.

This confuses me so much sometimes.

A guy comes in having picked himself up a nice new car, he is happy and thinks he has just what he wants.

Some people will say he should have bough second hand, maybe - maybe not. Everyone talks about it , from how they might like new car smell , to depreciation and savings.

Some say he could have had older, faster nicer, whatever cars for his money, they are right too , everyone talks about it - and the op decides that for his purpose (maybe maybe not, he may have just wanted the gear stick to look the way it does) he wanted the new car and is happy.

Everyone comes to the conclusion after a nice little discussion that while the OP could have had a multitude of other cars (better or worse) - he has this one now, everyone (including OP) is happy, and there has been a interesting and informative debate about it and everyone awaits the few week in write ups looking to hear more about a motor.

All well and good, until of course - until the "we should kiss his bum, tell him its a lovley car, no room for debate, what he did is perfect, its what he wanted thats whats matters" brigade come along start petty arguments and try to flame down anyone who passes comment on the OP's decision.

Nomisf, I would take anything scott212 says with a salt rock the size of the OP's car.

Oh i dont intend to , i have my mind made up on these type of motors visitors . Just trying to outline how daft this has become.

*Dons flame proofs.

Fox if you earned say £45,000 a year would you still buy 2nd hand. I'm willing to bet you would go for an old shape M3. Where as a lot of people wanting a BMW would probably go for a brand new 330i or something like that. I'd do the latter personally because if you're spending that much money you might as well have something that's truly yours.

For the record I'm not the one trolling and starting arguments. You lot are the ones slaughtering people who buy new cars. Fair enough if you disagree but you could play nice instead of being so abusive and rude.

Not quite the same, but, last year I earned around £29k yet I run around in a £1k motor.

Why? Other financial priorities, something kids like you don't yet have to worry about.

I've never spent over £10k on a car and can't see me doing so any time soon.

The OP's motor is not my thing, then again, I'd guess my 113k 1996 328i is not his, no big deal to either of us tbh.

If he's as happy with his car as I am with mine, who am I to tell him otherwise?

This minor detail gets overlooked frequently imo.

Wow..... just...... wow....

Im actually speachless.... 10k.... surely you could have saved atleast 2k by buying one with '58' on the numberplate rather than '09' for starters...

You guys haven't even been talking about cars for the last 2-3 pages, just quoting what the last person said and picking faults.
