***Champions League R1 L2 - 10/11th March***

Fair play to Liverpool for the way they played tonight. Their football was fast-paced and direct and they fully deserved to win by that amount of goals. However, you cannot CANNOT ignore just how bad Real Madrid were. Absolutely pitiful. An embarrassment for La Liga. They were woeful when we played them back in 06 but this was just a whole never level of poor. Spineless, gutless and absolutely no passion. Their backline is so bad I couldn't believe it. In all honesty a league 2 side could have given Real a game tonight.

An English team to win the CL again this season I reckon.

spanish and italian teams seem to be slacking at bringing players through the ranks, theyve all still got the players in the first teams who were good 10 years ago, and they havnt brung any players through there ranks, to fill there gaps, english clubs in the past 4 years or so have really excelled over italian and spanish clubs in finding talent, or in building squads is a better way of putting it.

Why can't we play like that week in week out. Sublime football. Well chuffed. Great game lads.

Great results tonight, hopefully tomorrow will be as good and we can see 3 English clubs in the quarter finals ;)

I had one present tonight, I doubt I will be lucky enough to have 2 in 2 days. :D

Spain could still have three teams in the 1/4 so I don't think it's fair to write of the whole league. Although its not likely they will challenge the English teams, bar Barcelona.

I have three requests:

I would like man u get an absolute SPANKING tomorrow. Harder than a ginger stepchild in fact.

When inter score the winner in the 215th minute of stoppage time that there no doubt will be added on, I want Jose to run up and down the touchline like he did with Porto.

I would like the shock of being beaten in this manner to cause fergie to accidentally blow a chewing gum bubble so large that he floats up into the air and is pecked to death by crows.

That would be the icing on the cake after tonights win:)

Joking aside, Madrid were not that poor. They created a few chances, forcing some saves from Reina and just clearly missing others like Raul's free header in the second half. Liverpool just never let them get started or settled and played football that stretched them all over. People are forgetting their record under Ramos up until they met Liverpool and making them out to be some kind of second rate team. They simply are not.

Wow at Liverpool and Bayern. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 5-0 and 12-1 on aggregate. Well done Liverpool - I don't say that often, but credit where it's due.

Oh, and lol @ Chelsea ref. Blew for a penalty but nobody knew what was going on :D

I think you will find it is AC Milan that are referred to as just Milan where as Inter Milan who we are playing are referred to as Internationale ;)

Still a team with Milan in it, and I want either of them to win (one has Becks, one has Mourinho), provided they are not playing vs Chelsea.
