I watched it at the IMAX yesterday and thought exactly the same! The 3D bits ruined it a bit, just didn't really work properly. Thought it was poorly done :(
 
Saw it at Imax today, I said I would :p

Thought it looked and sounded incredible on that huge screen, not sure about the 3D bits, I think they could have done without it because the parts it was used on weren't really designed for 3D although I can see why they used the 3D at those key parts, the flashing glasses at the bottom of the screen annoyed me too.

Overall though I enjoyed the film, I liked the plane rescue, thought it looked really good, also Kevin Spacey is fantastic at being evil.
 
I thought it was great up on the big screen,fx were amazing.Female characters were weak tho,that lois lass isn`t hot enough or even slightly loopy.
Bring back General zod! i want to see a galactic stramash :D
 
good film. enjoyed BR as superman. lois wasnt great though and there was too much going on between her and superman instead of superman getting out there and saving the planet.

brilliant fx and the plane rescue was excellent!

If you like the Zod story lines, may i suggest the Smallville series (Season 5 to be specific) unless you already watch :)
 
Holy thread bump Batman (pun intended)

Before tonight I'd only ever seen this the once (back when it was first released on DVD) so I thought I'd wack it tonight as I'd recently bought it as part of a 3 for 2 BlueRay deal and OMG what a load of rubbish!

I know opinions on films can change over the years and those that you once thought were good suddenly become crap but how this ever got a positive review is beyond me :confused:

Problem with Superman now is they keep using Lex... when really we wantsomething he can have a proper battle with, Doomsday or someone - so it is all EPIC!!!

I know they are leaning that way in Smallville, but really that should have ended a few seasons ago!

It'll remain a crap film no matter how many years you leave it. Why did Spacey bother with it?
 
There was no need to make this film, it was just a money maker. I would've preffered it if Smallville was allowed to let Clark organically take on the superman role and run with it for a few seasons.
