Can't stop playing this game. After my massive ballsup with Prussia (I thought I was on a World Domination mission, but it was Short Campaign and so I was nowhere near the regions I needed to complete it), I went back to Maratha. By the year 1730 I'd conquered all of the Indian theatre I wanted (no Afghanistan or Ceylon, they're pals ). Now I have moved into Europe and taken Portugal (they never forgave me for Goa) and Morocco. Spain is next, but I need to make sure I can stand up to their fleets before I really start on them - but Gibraltar and Madrid are so tantalisingly close...

Is anyone lucky enough to be having a trouble free experence with ETW ie no crashes or other stabilty issues etc ?

I am. I'm only about 100 turns in but its not crashed on me yet. Occasionally it'll lag as if its about crash but it hasn't yet.

Me, I havent had any glitches, no crashes, no stability issues. Didnt have any issues before the patch and havent had any since the patch. Only 1 minor bug which is that the free roaming camera wont stay turned off. But no crashes at all.

I've had a handful of CTDs and bumped into the occasional bug, but nothing game-breaking for me.

I have gone back to playing TW:MII though..

With the last patch I've had two blue screens but none with the previous patch but before that it crashed all the time.

It would be helpful if there was a version number in the game but I carn't see one.

Although I havent had any crashes at all, I do have a heavily modded Empire Total War. (got modded music, modded sound effects, modded graphics memory usage settings, modded unit graphics at long range, modded smoke, modded camera) so whether thats why I havent had any crashes or not, I dont know.

Twcenter and the official forums. Some of the modding involves unpacking and repacking files, but its not too difficult. When you have finished it comes out looking and sounding something like this :

EDIT : Little warning though, it is very cpu and gpu intensive so you need a fairly high spec machine

I started on global domination mission first, lol. I'm up to 1780 i think.

I own the americas, carribean, and about to start on Europe.

Is there a time limit? Does the clock keep going? My criteria was world domination only.

1799 I think, at least for the long campaign.

As Britain I only have 1 territory left to conquer in India, and I have 20 years or so to do it. Isn't very hard as Britain really, starting a new game as Prussia.
