It's not about what cars better and tbh comments like the above are just sour grapes. The guy's built a cheap fast car which he enjoys. Doesn't matter if it's not as good as the Z4. What matters is it fills the critera set by the owner.

There is no sour grapes what so ever, when I had my Fiat Coupe I was done by one of those Toyota little hatchback imports with the 1.3 turbo in it that was heavily modified and stripped, fair play to the guy, he happned to go to the same carpark I was going to the cinema for with his Chav friends, we had a chat, no sour grapes at all.

Doesn't mean stating I would rather be in my Coupe is because I had sour grapes, its just a fact.

I get what you mean mate it didn't really come across as sour grapes to me anyway.

Im sure if I go and ask the guy if he wanted to swap he would anyway :p

Fast old shabby Vauxhalls, always a laugh :P Once I got totally destroyed by a Nova, out driving some country roads in the middle of the night. I already had my foot down a bit when this guy came up behind and promptly flew past, by the time I got round the next corner he was gone. I've never seen anyone so fast out there on the lanes before or since. No idea what he was running in it, sounded Nasp, high revving and raspy. Could be mistaken though, if anyone is into the Nova scene then this car was pale blue and had a roll cage in it, might know if it?

There was a 300BHP turbo around your way that fits the description, however raspy and high revving are usually Throttle Boddied. They can be anything between 180-230BHP on a fairly low budget. Sound great too at 8K RPM :)
 
2l turbo novas are a lot of fun :P My friend has one and its hilarious driving it, feels lightning fast compared to my S2000.

Wouldn't like it as my daily driver though :P But for a cheap laugh its hard to beat!

I got absolutely spanked in my Anglia by some lads in a stock looking 16V Escort some years ago. I've never forgot that incident, but last week I left one for dust on a motorway sliproad and had some fun playing cat and mouse on the motorway so I can only guess the one a few years ago was hiding something underneath.
 
Happened to everyone with a percieved quick car at some point. I got my ass handed to me in a 325/330 (can't recall which) by a Ford Orion a few years back with a Cossy engine of 'some' power. Like a through an anchor out the back window.
 
Same happend to me a few months back in my MR2 turbo, shabby looking Corsa B destroyed me!
 
Me and my mate follwed a shabby looking mk3 golf onto the a19 in his t5 sometime ago. "ill have him here" says my mate. Ive never seen a golf take off so quick lol. The back end dipped and it turned into a spec in the distance. All we could do was laugh. :D
 
Perhaps the government fund these Corsa/other old stuff supercars to destroy pretty nice performing cars, making the owners then go and buy even faster cars, thus stimulating the economy. Werd.
