VXR Trackday Announced - Now open to all!

It would be good if BMW had a Driving Experience Centre like Porsche have at Silverstone

Really? Have you more information on the £75 BMW trackdays please?
lol

As per your usual form you've ignored what's been written and tried to nit-pick. Irrespective of cost BMW have had owner only track days for years. Picking up on price alone is a poor attempt at disproving the facts. OMG BMW are as guilty as Vauxhall!

edit. Just goes to show what good value for money the VXR day is.

edit edit. There's a £99 BMW only track day at Oulton Park on the 18th November :)

Read what I've written before jumping in as a Fox groupie :)

so what? its a BMW only track day, but its not run by BMW and you still need to own your own BMW and take that out... Ive been on a ford track day too, but the only thing supplied by ford was the ford name in the track day title.

VXR days £75 coverd the cost of the track and CAR, + food + Professional co drivers + drives around with BTCC drivers.

Excellent, more details please, is it run by BMW for BMW drivers only using BMW supplied cars?

Run by an approved BMW club, for BMW drivers only, alas not driving supplied cars. I guess BMW can't offer the same level of service :(

£75 to drive a car you already own.

WOW that is truly awesome.

lol.

You do realise track days that allow you to drive your own car are usually well over £100 and usually get sold out.

So yes, £75 for professional tuition, with no risk to your own car is AWESOME :)

But you already knew that, right?

No, I agree. It is fantastic value but what's the point of making it VXR owner exclusive? I thought the whole idea was to drum up new interest not keep the existing fanboys happy.

I think they are scared to let non VXR owners loose on the cars because they only want fanboys to bleat on about how fantastic they are rather than giving those who don't drive a VXR a chance to have a blast.

I wonder why they dont want non VXR fanboys there..

Oh come on Fox. Loads of car clubs have owners only track days. It's just an extra event on the Calendar to cater for VXR owners.

You band fanboys around like only Vauxhalls have them. We all know you hate Vauxhalls, big deal. It's not wrong to be a fanboy of anything you like.

i had more fun in my own car than i did in the corsa.... 30bhp down, and double the price. But still LOADS more fun. I drove the Corsa, Astra, Vectra and VXR8 and the only one id even remotely want was the VXR8 and even that was "ford quality" inside.

As I said above. It's just a perk of owning a VXR, not a master plan to keep people away. As someone mentioned Porsche have their own Driving Experience Centre at Silverstone which runs 'owners only' days. Are they as guilty as Vauxhall or moreso for actually having the audacity to have their own centre.

It seems to be the haters who continually bitch about VXR. The hatred some of you guys really is worrying. To like a VXR or Vauhxall and your a crazy fanboy yet to like a BMW you're a well educated car specialist lol.

Get over yourselves lol

the 2 times i went on these days only 3 (in total) people put there hands up to admit they had a VXR. And when they asked how many of you might buy a VXR i recon only 10 put there hands up. And when asked if we was there for a cheap track day 100% of us put our hands up. So really. what good is it having VXR owners only day, surely they going to have totally empty sessions?

The point we are making is this is a Manufacturer track day, this has bugger all to do with clubs. The VXR day used to be open to everyone and now all of a sudden it's closed to people who don't own VXRs.

It used to be a great idea to drum up interest in their cars and now they are looking after the VXR owners.

Great, good for you. I had the chance to have a Fiesta ST as a company car. Drove it, it bored me, I went for a mondeo lol.

If it's really that important to you I'll concede that it appears only Vauxhall are willing to offer their owners a great track day at a bargain price.

Happy :)

Staggering facts and taken from such a wide section of society!

Aston Martin do a Performance Driving Course which is only available to AM customers. I went on one of these a couple of years back and it was fantastic, i'm sure other companies do something similar.
