Wish i was accross at my brother inlaws in Cork no im stuck at work in fife :mad:

A few years ago for ST Paddys day they turned the Liffe Green and made guinness green. Now thats cool

Anyone know where I can get bottled Guinness. Not Guinness original, just the normal stuff but not in cans. I've had it in bottles before, so I know its available somewhere. Drinking Guinness out of a can is just plain wrong.

Pour it in a proper pint glass, then.

Bottled Guinness is carbonated, I think, so it misses the mark. Canned Guinness has nitrogen capsules that cause a smooth head and proper creaminess.

I'm in Cork at the moment with work and its sooo busy!! went out for a bite to eat and the city centre is totally full of people for the parade! Don't really see the point in any of it myself being English, but everyone is having a good time and its nice that people are patriotic! As has been said, why are the English not the same??

oh and the Liffy is always green!!! Its that dirty

Yeah its pretty bogg awfull. when i was looking at it, just outside the trainstation down from Dublin Zoo it was full of trollyeys and tyres.

St Paddys day is the only one anyone realy celibrates, we dont even get St Andrews day as a holiday, tbh i cant even tell when it is thats how patriotic i am.

I'm trying to remember what film it's from (possibly the Fugitive?), but one of the characters complains that they dye the river green for Paddy's day, but don't dye it blue for the rest of the year
